No, it's not one of these DQ/Course Out threads we've gotten, it deals with after he clears, I watched it again for the heck of it when I noticed Yagyu-Gaiden sounded....different, like it was closer-sounding to the original version of the theme during the Kosugi era. Anyone else notice at some point?
EDIT: You guys know where you can find it, rules state not to post it on the forum, so don't bother asking.

It did sound a little like the Kosugi era, but...I'm...not...quite...sure...where...your...going...with...this.

The new version didn't start until Sasuke 20, and even then the old version was still used at times.

20? Damn it! I knew there was something a little bit out of place. I just knew it! Well now we know. And sheep. The old version was used at times? As in like during his First Stage run.

The old version was used always from 1-19 and occasionally in 20-25.

So let me get this straight. The old version was always used in 1-19 and the new version is sometimes used when the old one isn't being used from 20 onward?

You guys must be refering to that actual Sasuke broadcast. I think G4 just edits all that "background noise" with the announcer talking over it. Cuz you know, there's nothing like someone in a monotone voice telling us in exact detail what we just saw 5 seconds ago. In case we blinked.

Obviously.. he mentioned the song "Yagyu-Gaiden" and G4 has never used the original music... The 2 songs are the same piece done by the same band.. just a slightly different arrangement where the 2nd one seems to sound more.. ornate if that's the word I'm looking for.

Definitely like the "ornate" one better. Thanks for the links Sheep. Obviously.. he mentioned the song "Yagyu-Gaiden" and G4 has never used the original music... Well obviously. I see my powers of sarcasm holds no sway over you. I'll need to send my crack assassination team after you. Oh right, I'll need a new one. Curse you!

Yagyu Gaiden was originally from a V-Cinema movie, くノ一忍法帳 柳生外伝 (Kunoichi Ninpouchou Yagyu Gaiden). I believe the movie version might be the one being used in the earlier days and then they switched to the CD version from Yamato. Both are performed by Musashi.
Also, the SASUKE wiki states that Yagyu Gaiden was being used from 7 on up for stage clears, possibly based on the fact that Yamato was released in 2000. JET videos make clear that as early as 4 it was being used sometimes. The movie and it's soundtrack were both released in 1998, making it possible that the song could have been used from at the earliest 2 (but not likely as it would have been a month after the soundtrack release).

Like I said, it is possible that it was used. The soundtrack was released in August of 1998 and the airing of SASUKE 2 was September 1998.
