Do you mean that you can't get into the position, or once you're in the position you can't hold it?

I don't know what to say, then. I've never had trouble when I've tried spider walking, even though my legs are fairly weak, I'm very light so it's easy to hold myself up, even with no arms.

Have you tried on other surfaces? Like wood or even brick? And if you want I can PM you a Spider Walk vid I made a few months ago so you can see how I do it, (i can't post it as my vids for Badalight's Challenge are in the related vids and I don't want my scores getting out until this is over.

It sounds like your problem is your shoes/grip.
My shoes always slip, especially if it's a bad surface.
They use glass in Sasuke, much eaier to stick to than dry wall... LOL.
It's kinda nasty, but you can spit on your hand and rub it on your shoes.
Or take your shoes off, a lot better grip with your bare feet because of the oils and what not.
The sweat helps you stick.
Ultimately, you need to find a better place to do it.
Metal, glass... both better than a normal wall.
Or un-tarnished, un-painted wood might work too.
Not as good but better than dry wall...

A good idea for starting I've found, try to find stuff with good tracktion, worse comes to terrible you can use bricks or trees just for how rough they are. I know I'm trying to turn a couple of trees into a Spider Climb (tougher to use than I thought it would be, haven't gotten to the first branch even, and I don't want to slip because I don't want to fall off because I found out theres a thorn bush near the base I didn't even know about until I got there, I just put a small log I found there to hold it down and a better start line, And to push down plants by it I threw a couple of peices of thick wood I found also back there, well not too thick, it looks like its peices of a cut up door, the doorknob on one peice was a clue.
