Whats a good way to practice balancing the Downhill jump? I have good balance but never tried anything like this so I don't want to start off by litterally just skateboarding down a slide (All the slides around here are too steep and all the hills aren't steep enough)

Invest in a treadmill? There are some with adjustable incline settings, though I'm not sure how much an incline you'd need.

Use a ladder for the structure and put something smooth over it like a blanket or something.

Well if I fall it could turn into Flying Chute practice! OK, All the slides around here are plastic.

Chris had a good idea, excellent actually.
A ladder would be perfect, then instead of sliding down the rungs put like a very thin peice of wood that fits perfectly into the gap.
This way you can have an djustable slope and also have a little bit of a "track" to hold your bord in place just like in the normal Sasuke.
Seriously, that's the best idea yet.

That would require two things I don't have, a Ladder and a peice of wood, and to get them it needs something else I don't have, money.

Why not skateboard down ramps? It's obviously the best idea we've heard, because believe me it helps to practice that. Why was bigblind so overlooked on that one? lol simply go to a skate park, that destroys all this ladder blanket plastic slide etc.

OK, Theres alot of snow out there and I kept falling by the bottom on both a sled and a snowboard. Maybe I was trying something too steep or something.

nah i think the steeper the better, because if u go down lets say a 75 degree andgle and i think the DHJ is like 30 degress (estimate, 2 lazy and grounded 2 look up) so if you can handle a 75 degree angle, than 30 is easy

Haha. I just slid down the hill in my backyard, which is about a 30-35 degree slope, on a snowboard to practice the "downhill jump". It was actually much easier than I thought it would be, despite the fact that I haven't gone snowboarding in over a year. The only slightly difficult part IMO was jumping to the imaginary rope haha. I'm sure though with a real rope to have to jump to and grab onto it would be much more difficult just like the real downhill jump probably is.

No Rider, it wasn't too steep. The obstacle is just harder than you thought it was. Admit it, you can't do everything.

No seriously. I looked at it then ran home and looked at the Downhill Jump and realized it is more angled.
