One of the main topics going on is whether the rights to Sasuke will be sold to G4 in order to keep Ninja Warrior alive and thriving in the US or not. So I'll take that question a step further. Do you think that will they also get the rights to host Kunoichi as well? And if they do, do you think it will do well ratings wise?

They had a golden opportunity to do it with Kunoichi 8 and chose not to. Remember that it will never fit with what the President of G4 wants. They are not interested in the female demographic.. unless it involves jello... but I digress. They are pouring all their efforts into ANW with the specific purpose of raising their profile with their target demographic and IMO Kunoichi doesn't fit in that since they don't get their numbers from watching old Kunoichi episodes. NW by itself (not women of) have consistently made G4 happy ratings wise.. even if it's less than 1%.

Well there ya go. Instead of water, they can fall in jello when they fail an obstacle. Ratings bonanza!

NW by itself (not women of) have consistently made G4 happy ratings wise.. even if it's less than 1%. It's G4.. What do you expect?... Hell.. Chances are they don't get ratings from Kunoichi might be the fact they never show it.. Hell.. When the hell do they even show regular NW anyways? I only see like 2 episodes of it and that's just on Tuesdays at 2:30 PM after Banzuke (With the fact Banzuke is on most weekdays at 2 you'd think they'd care enough to make new episodes, it's not like they don't have footage...) and it seems like theres a bunch of episodes showing I can't find... Sasuke 20 last episodes of Stage 1 and showing Stages 2 and 3, Sasuke 21 Stage 3 and they only had one episode tha week, Sasuke 23 Stages 2 and 3, And then this tuesday they had one episode of Stages 3 and the Final of Sasuke 4 and the first episode of Sasuke 5. Also I find it funny what's supposedly their highest rated show doesn't even get a 1... Shows how different America and Japan are, A small cable channel is thinking "WE GOT A 1!!! ALL RIGHT!!!" and TBS is like "Oh $#!+.. It only got a 7?...." G4 hasn't shown any interest in Kunoichi. They had a golden opportunity to do it with Kunoichi 8 and chose not to. Remember that it will never fit with what the President of G4 wants. They are not interested in the female demographic.. unless it involves jello... but I digress. G4 might want it.. But they'd add in more difficult obstacles and do something similar to how they setup ANW only with different obstacles but have clear tanks for the water.. I get the feeling G4 only bought Kunoichi along with Sasuke becuase they figured "Hey! This is a giant Wet T-Sihrt contest!" Honestly I'm shocked they haven't tried advertising like that.. I sure hope I didn't give them any ideas.... XD

I agree with Rider's post about Unbeatable Banzuke. I cannot believe that they won't invest in new episodes considering how popular it is.
Seriously, they have been airing Banzuke almost daily for 2.5 years with the SAME 65 episodes. Any show that can manage to still pull in viewers after being rerun literally 20 times over is obviously something special. Although they aired most of the indoor course footage, they still have the target events which actually made up 75% of the broadcasts.
However, G4s logic is to continue until everyone's burned out and go from there. This is what happened with Code Monkeys' 26 episode run. After the 2 short seasons ran their course, they relied on reruns until the ratings weren't there anymore. Instead of reinvigorating the fanbase with new episodes, they simply let it die.
Czar Neal Tiles doesn't know what the hell he's doing. Instead of actually establishing consistent series, he moves onto the next (usually crappy) idea. In one of his Open Sources, he answered my question about Banzuke and explained that "most viewers (unlike yourself) haven't seen all the episodes we've produced." He's completely out of touch.

I'm surprised that Kunoichi doesn't get as good as ratings as Sasuke does on G4. Any show with chicks makes G4 ratings thrive, so having 100 chicks on a course, you'd think it would be more popular than the mostly dude version...

I thought that they said in a commercial they were gonna air new episodes or something. It was like 2 years ago I heard it. Maybe I heard wrong though. Does that mean we were trolled by G4 or what?

I know that the main problem with G4 in general is the idiot in charge, but you'd think that others would be pushing for it. We know for a fact that Sara Jean Underwood would love another run on the course. And who knows what other models/singers/actresses looking to get exposure would jump at the chance. Plus, girls in wet clothing, I don't see how this could not be geared towards their claimed demographic.

Heh.. when Luci told me she wasn't even invited to go to Kunoichi even though she did so well in Sasuke and could have done well in Kunoichi as a result PLUS tying the fact that she WAS a G4 ANC winner.. that's when I realized G4 didn't give a rats a$$ about Kunoichi.

I'm surprised that Kunoichi doesn't get as good as ratings as Sasuke does on G4. Any show with chicks makes G4 ratings thrive, so having 100 chicks on a course, you'd think it would be more popular than the mostly dude version... It depends how you promote it. Is it "This is a serious competition, these girls train for a year, they build replica courses in their backyards and work their a**es off to win this"? Or is it "Hey, here we have a bunch of hot chicks trying to win this, they all wear bikinis with thongs"? And almost all, how the producers want Kunoichi to be promoted? A female Sasuke, or a WWE Divaish show? How would Japanese people react to a frivolous remake of Sasuke?

As for the Japanese reaction, I don't think it would be any different than how it is here. Didn't they have a porn star on one of the Kunoichi's btw? It could've been a model, but it was ridiculously sexual.

It could've been a model, but it was ridiculously sexual. You mean Sora Aoi? Because she's a pornstar, beside her I saw a lot of sexy girls, but I am very fond on japanese/asian girls, so I might be overexagerating a bit, but to me most of the competitors looked very very beautiful. They also had Sara Jean Underwood, who was a Playboy Playmate, so indeed sexy. I mean, it's different if you promote something as a serious competition or if you promote it as a simple exhibition of hot chicks. But even if they stress the hot chick point the show will become boring after a while if it's not compelling in some way, it's still a PG show, there are lines which cannot be crossed- Personally I'd cast good looking girls and good looking athletes, I mean, good looking girls are for entertainment, but they should be able to last for a while, otherwise it would pointless to have them if they take one step and fall into water; and athletes, girls who are able to seriously compete, so the show has a reason to exist. Make a challenging but not impossible first stage, and then get serious starting from stage 2; so you'll get more girls completing stage 1, you'll see more good looking girls but you'll get also the action, and the real competitors will be able to showcase their abilities. I believe that this way it would be possible to appeal to both male and female audiences, male eyes will be pleased and they'll also get plenty of action, and girls will watch the show to see how a girl like them can complete a tough challenge, tough but not impossible.
