4. Competitors must be barehanded. You may not put anything on your hands, including but not limited to gloves, spray, chalk or tape. Violation of this rule will result in disqualification. Does this mean they can't use awesome ninja spray's?

God I hate doing the monkey bars without gloves let alone the jumping bars...

So what about band-aids? I ripped my biggest callous off today (Friday) trying the jumping bars at muscle beach at Santa Monica. It stings pretty bad and I'm just hoping to at least have a band-aid covering it. It was really crappy timing and I'm stll beating myself up about it.
But unless anybody answers in the next 30 min, I won't get an answer until my tryout tomorrow. I'm really hoping that it heals a just a bit overnight so its more bearable.

Did you glob on some Neosporin?
I don't think a band-aid would give you an unfair advantage if you're all torn up underneath.
Maybe they look at it on a case-by-case basis. Tell them about your situation, show them, and ask them about the use of band-aids and see what they'll let you roll with.

Yeah I left the jumping bars really angry and went straight to a Target to get Neosporin and bandaids. I'm about to do my third application for the day before bed so hopefully there will be some good improvement tomorrow. Definitely taking my box of bandaids so I can show them what is going on and hopefully reapply a fresh one prior to my run. Thanks for the input!

Good luck Jason and all the rest of the guys who hauled out to L.A. I'm still concerned about the final... but .. ah well.. this is G4.. I shouldn't be complaining so much.. it's not like I didn't see this coming...

When they say this about the semi-finalists, I really hope that if someone travels hundreds of miles across the country to compete in ANW2 and gets this far but is unable to stay they at least arrange something for them (ex.: if someone only had a hotel booked until the 9th, they should provide somewhere for them to stay until then or at least a ride back for the final round). Because there's probably plenty of people who will have to deal with this dilemma, which includes people on here. Also, the whole thing with no adhesive spray and what-not seems a little unfair, especially if something happened to you like it did to thebra. Stuff like this tends to happen pretty often to people who train for Sasuke, and lots of other things can also make it much more difficult to do well. For example, I was shoveling the other day while taking out my hedges and I got a blister on my hand that still hurts when I train even after a few days have passed. If G4 doesn't allow some things depending on the circumstances, that just sucks. Regardless, good luck to everyone at ANW2! I hope to see many of you in the semifinals, finals, and maybe even Sasuke 26!

You have GOT to get it. When I was in gymnastics, New Skin was the only thing that healed rips quickly. It stings like a mother but it's ultra effective.

Thanks for the tip, but I didn't get it before I went out today. My rip actually healed enough that although it was still a bit painful and still really red, I couldn't even feel it when my group was called to get behind the gates to run the course thanks to all the adrenaline. I did ask the crew and they said no band-aids or anything else. Oh

Looked pretty awesome! Good Job Oti! Hope I hear good news from everybody else as well! I wish I was there. Does anybody know what the next few obstacles are after the warped wall?

Congrats on Oti. Sad about Rus =( That kills me that Rus failed again. Ever since ANC 2, I felt that he would do great on the course. I hope Oti's time holds up. How similar is the course? If I remember correctly, there were 30 second clears last time.

They took out the Cylinder thing that was the third obstacle with the X Bridge and took out the pipe slider and put the jumping bars there
