That was really cool that we finally got to see it. My favorite part was at the end where they showed the All-Stars' reaction to the "new" Final Stage. Also, in the Third Stage part, they had a guy cleaning the Cliffhanger while ON the Cliffhanger, that was pretty neat to watch

Yeah.. Yuuji should have gotten one of these to.. But this was still great to watch.. So when was this shown again anyways? Like in the hype before 18? (Like Navi time and stuff) Lets hope this means some recordings of older Sasuke Mania/Zone show up (So people will stop asking about Harashima) Also did anyone else notice that at parts we got to hear stuff like the other half of " Hirui na ki Ranbu, Sora ga Semasugiru" that they usually don't use and we got to hear "Blood+ Grand Theme" BEFORE it became Yuuji's theme (or before he even competed for that matter) Also, in the Third Stage part, they had a guy cleaning the Cliffhanger while ON the Cliffhanger, that was pretty neat to watch Nice find! I missed that.. I had to make a demotivator

Bunpei's was my favorite.. wtf.. look.. both eyebrows went up and down.. I was laughing... had to rewind it a few times because I was laughing so hard. Takeda had the snarky eye look.. and Nagano looked like he was a kid in a candy store all wide eyed. I loved it!!! Btw Rider I forgot to mention this but from what I understand.. this was shown approximately 1 week after the Sasuke 17 broadcast. I can't confirm exact date since this was well before my time.

That was great! Thanks, Arty, for finding it, and thanks, Elsie, for posting it! Elsie, I was laughing at Bunpei's reaction, too. I also found it funny that it was Yamada's idea to dunk Nagano! Btw, does anyone know where Shingo and Eiko were in those poolside shots? Was that in Thailand? I remember seeing something on the Japanese Wikipedia about Shingo and Eiko going to Thailand, or at east that's how Google translated it.

It was funny seeing M9 haul butt down there to record him. LOL! Go Shingo!! Btw.. did you notice the yellow princess wedding dress on Eiko! Rider your guess is as good as mine I don't thin anyone other than you is freaked out about the exact date Just say approximately a week after since it's kinda moot now Btw.. great demotivator LOL

Thanks, Elsie. I thought that's where they were. I had never seen that wedding pic before. I'm guessing that pic was from the reception. They wear traditional Japanese clothes for the ceremony and Western-style clothes for the reception, right? Shingo looks good in a tux and Eiko looked very pretty in that dress.
Oh, and I thought it was cool that Bunpei can raise each eyebrow alternately. I can only raise my left one.

Weddings in Japan. It's personal preference I've seen Japanese have full western weddings with no Shinto influence. Who knows. I haven't seen the wedding picture before so at this point I can't tell if it was a reception picture or not. Given that most of the time in Western weddings no one changes.. (I know I didn't) it's unlikely they had a traditional wedding. Then again.. Nagano's wedding.. Asami changed 4 times...

The special aired October 18, 2006. It was aired during Golden Time nationwide, not just in the Tokyo area ala the late night SASUKE shows. Officially, the special was called "SASUKEに生きる男たち" and got a 7.1 rating. blogs.dion.ne.jp/mmbon/archives/2006-10-7.html

I'm almost ashamed now because I managed to let a couple of tears slip out even if I know all this stuff happened back in 2006 ' Shall I get my tear ducts checked?LOL I loved the dunk scene, and also (fangirl warning) the teary eye moments after Nagano came down the tower (I warned you). Akiyama's phone call was cute too All the family shots with the All Stars were very nice. Also that was the last time we've seen Yamada's son clearly, wasn't it? Bunpei's wtf face was after the towe thing was P R I C E L E S S . As soon as I saw it (well...after recovering from half an hour of ROFLing) I knew somebody would have made a demotivator. I miss him so much Yamada was like "oh crap...I can't curse on TV but this is just...oh crap..." Oh and Elsie Agreed I laughed like crazy then went Kawaii

Arty, I think the hugs and dunk scene were my favorite parts. I got a little choked up after seeing Nagano's face when Yamada failed. You don't actually see the tears, but you can see it in his face; you know he's gonna cry. I think Akiyama's cell phone call made Nagano's day. I miss Bunpei, too. I hope he's able to compete at least one more time. It would be nice to have all 6 of the All-Stars compete together one more time.

Only 2 of the last 8 tournments have had all 6 All-Stars present (competing or not). Both times someone won!
So if all 6 show up again, someone will win! That would be awesome!

^I hadn't thought of that. Yeah it would be awesome if someone won. I'm rooting for Shingo and Yamada, of course!

Yep...oh and also yeah, I noticed Nagano's teary eyes after Yamada's run. Btw I bet the phone call was set up by TBS but Nagano didn't know it was coming. I have to say it was a good idea, TBS guys, you stole me another couple of tears there

OMG yes it was set up. I was told the gist of the conversation from Nagano's end was him trying to coax Akiyama to compete again.. at this point it was clear that Akiyama was done (so was Takeda as well and TBS and Nagano didn't want that to happen) but Nagano wouldn't let him retire. TBS still retired Akiyama and you know the rest of that story Btw.. after 18's preshow that was the last time you saw that mock up on Nagano's boat since he really put his foot down on the whole set up scene. At this point being champion I'm sure he earned the right to complain about the set up shot so they finally retired it. And yes.. I WANT BUNPEI BACK! I'm hoping he's better for the summer and hoping since it should be warmer when 26 rolls around he can participate!
