Has there ever been a sasuke without any women?

Possibly earlier Sasuke's but I doubt it. There has never been a tournament without at least one woman to my knowledge. Concrete answer though is that without a full list of previous competitions I can say most likely no with the only possible exception being Sasuke 1.

Yup, the only tournament that comes to my mind is Sasuke 1, and still I'm not all that sure. Sasuke 2 definitely had at least a woman competing Tanabe Chie rocks(well, rocked).

They've made it a point since the days of Mizuno and Yusa to have a least 1 good female competitor each time that they can market.

I don't think there hasn't been one, and I don't mind a mixed-gendered Sasuke. They only take what, 55, 60 of the competitors seriously. The rest are there for humor and viewership.

Ayako Iwasada: #4, Sasuke 1, Tanabe for 2 and 3 and others. So, the answer is no.
