Like I said, only seen one episode of Sasuke 15 like that.

I was able to jury-rig my USB tuner to record the old-format Sasuke 15 that was on VOD a while ago.
Interesting note: Tourneys 15-17 total 13 episodes, which at least to me explains why the shows are broken down the way they are
