What about Yamamoto in 9? That was shocking. I wouldnt expect the last man standing to fail like that.

And didn't Shingo break his shoulder when he fell?
Some other surprising fails: Yamada and Shingo failing the Hammer Dodge in Sasuke 1 Shingo in Sasuke 7. I don't think anyone was expecting that! Nagano and Takeda in Sasuke 10. Shingo in Sasuke 16 (although that type of dumb mistake is kind of typical for him it was still surprising, since he had never failed the Jump Hang before). Akiyama (Jump Hang) and Shingo (Rolling Log) in Sasuke 6. Bunpei in Sasuke 14. I'm surprised no one has mentioned that yet.

Bit surprised no one has mentioned this yet: Yuuji's DSL (no not the computer speed ) fail in 25 -- pretty sure it made everyone go "WTF" when it happened not just those watching on TV, but those at the taping. Kanno's Balance Tank fail shocked me as well.

Some more: Okuyama in 20, he goes right up the salmon ladder, no trouble at all, I'm thinking "he's gonna clear for sure" and then SPLASH!, right into the water. It got me.
Nakata in 12. Rolls right off the log at the very end.

And didn't Shingo break his shoulder when he fell? He dislocated it. It must not be the strongest shoulder. He dislocated it again in 23.

Shingo dislocated his left shoulder in Sasuke 7. I thought he broke his right shoulder in Sasuke 9. Elsie would know.

It was broken in Sasuke 9. Yeah he broke it on the Failed Rumbling Dice landing platform.. that he missed He also dislocated it before Sasuke... so it wasn't like he just did it for that final back in Sasuke 7. Similar to my shoulder.. you have good days and bad days. Heck.. just ask Takeda.. he has the same issues.

Some more recent ones as even though I've watched Sasuke for a long time, I didn't really gotten into it hardcore until about a year ago. Anyway:
Levi on the Slider Drop in 25 Shiratori in 21 on the downhill jump Shingo in 22 obviously was huge
I kinda had the feeling nagano would go down on the circle slider...but my number 1 was Takeda on the spider flip in 23...Just wow

I'm suprised no mentioned Mark Witmer's sudden fall off the Log Grip. I know I was like "WTF?!" Of course, we didn't learn of the damage to his ulnar nerve until later on. Still, many of us thought he would go on to tear up the 3rd stage, so that was quite the shocker.

I notice he had a short intro so I realized "Oh s***, does that mean he won't pass stage 1?" (This was when beating stage 1 was just a dream) and so he failed on the log grip, I was shocked.

I think Washimi and Yamada in 19 was pretty shocking. Also Takeda and Tajima in 24 were both really unexpected, especially in Tajima's case.

Tajima's 24 fail was spoiled in the trailer so sadly it wasn't but yea if you never saw the trailer it would give you a shock for sure.
