Takeda never tried Sasuke until Sasuke 5 (the post-Akiyama-tournaments) when the course was more difficult than it was in the previous 4 tournaments. He's been in every tournament since 5, but has never made it to the Final Stage throughout this entire time. Now, imagine that Takeda was in Sasuke from the start. Since the course was nothing compared to what it has come to be since then, Takeda would've probably had a better chance to have reached the Final Stage during these first 4 tournaments. So, after ranting on for so long about the background knowledge on all of this , what do you all think? How many times would Takeda have made it to the Final Stage if he were in Sasuke 1-4? 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 times?

On how close he was a few times in his early runs, I'm sure he would at least made it once to the final stage.

At least once. Its like saying Nagano was in 1-6. If he was he would have had at least 2 wins. Imagine a 26 year old Nagano on the Sasuke 1 course.
Takeda would have gotten to the final. I think in Sasuke 2 or 3 he would have.

Probably not in the Sasuke 1. The course was new and he wouldn't be prepared for the final stage. I'll say Spider Walk.
In Sasuke 2, He would most likely fail the Pipe Slider, not being used to it.
In Sasuke 3, He would make it to Final Stage..
In Sasuke 4, He would fail the final jump of the Pipe Slider.
You have to consider the fact that he would be new to Sasuke and not as experienced as he is now.

I think in Sasuke 2 or 3 he would have. The original final stage wasn't a cake-walk, and I guarantee Nagano wasn't as good as rope climbing back then as he is now since he acutally rope climbs regularly. So no, I think you over-estimate the all-stars like crazy, including Takeda.

Speaking about Nagano Sasuke 1 Final Stage fail, Sasuke 2 Final Stage barely whiffed, Sasuke 3 Kanzenseiha. Back to Takeda, he'd have gotten to the final at least twice after Sasuke 1, IMO.

I think in Sasuke 1 he would fail the spider walk.
In 2 & 3 he makes it to the final getting Kanzenseiha in one of them (I think once he cleared the spider walk he's in the final, remember sasuke 2-3 no jump in the pipe slider.)
In 4 he will fail the pipe slider jump.

Everyone always underestimates the original Stage 2. It always cut so many people and those that did finish never had more than 10 seconds left.
I actually believe the second stage got easier for while after the Chain Reaction was introduced. They went too easy initially and finally got the time limit right in Sasuke 12.
With that being said, I could see Takeda reaching the Final twice, most likely in the second and third competitions.
As a side note, although Monkiki is simply over his head now in Sasuke, you have to admit he was a great competitor at the time. Reaching the Final 3 times consecutively was quite a feat. It's too bad he never figured out the Jump Hang because he was a Stage 2 master.

Stage 2 had a very strict time limit. In Sasuke 1 alone, 2 of the 6 survivors only had 0.1 Seconds left.
Takeda could easily have timed up there in Sasuke 2.

I think Takeda would rape Sasuke 1-4, and he most likely would probably reach the final stage (maybe 3-4 times). Maybe he might even come close to kanzenseiha.
