Hey,
so i had an idea of a monthly show hosted by me of Who Wants to be a Millionare, SASUKE edition!
This would take place in the live chat and contestets have 15 seconds to answer a question. I believe you all no the format for the show, for those of you that dont, basicly i ask a question, multipal choice, and the person answers it.
how ever many "dollars" you win you get in Karma points or somethin like that, maybe the if you at 400 posts and u dont like Yamada, you can buy a custom name, so you no longer @ the Yamada satus, ur at Octopus or Wakky!
just an idea, so what do you guys think?
EDIT: the 15 seconds is so no one can look it up quickly

Depends on the type of questions asked, if they're no brainer questions then I don't think it would be a good idea but if they were legit tough questions then I'd think it would be great.
Also, you'd need to have a moderator there since only us can adjust names, posts, or karma. Plus, the custom names only go under the name, so you'll still be stuck with whatever competitor's name you have due to the amount of posts you have.

How about go from easier ones to harder ones, Like things like Q: "Which course first introduced the different height Cliffhanger" A: 5
to harder ones like
Q: "What number did Yamamoto Shingo wear in Sasuke 21?" A: "71"
or something, Now those questions can't be used but they were too easy anyways.

Or like... What is the only obstacle to be in the 1st and 18th tournament? A. Final Rope.

Well like an 100$ question would be, how many people have completed the course?
to something like
What was the first number octopus wore?
real easy to rly hard and obscure

How would you figure out the $ value?
Like if you get 5 questions right you'd walk away in millionare with 1,000 dollars, would we get nothing if we lost there?
And what about the life lines?
You could have 50/50.
How would the other 2 work? You'd have to create new ones like...
1:00 time limit, gives you an extra minute to guess or something like that...
And if you are going to have a time limit make it leaniant, like after the 15 second time limit they don't lose, you ask them if they have an answer, and give them like 5 seconds to answer, and it does take a few moments for answers to send over the live chat, so all in all questions could last for about a minute each, since the competitor has to READ the question to, you have to take that into account.

I suggest you check the rulesheet for the current season of Millionaire. It might clear up some of the formatting issues you would have. (Also watching the show wouldn't hurt)
My only problem with this idea is that the amount of material is very narrow. Even if you expand the range to the contestants' lives and surrounding culture, it's still not a lot. Millionaire can get away with a week of TV questions because TV has been around 24 hours a day for decades, even though it wasn't always on.
That being said, game show nerd that I am, I'd love to write questions.
(Love Hometown High Q; hate Steelers Trivia Challenge)

Even if I pull out the most remotely connected trivia, you're still looking at a very narrow scope. I'd say maybe 5 games tops if you're really lucky.

If you're doing it based on Millionaire, I'd recommend reducing the amount of questions per game. It's not like there's a huge prize that you need to protect, lol. That said, I think I could come up with a fair amount of questions with ranged difficulty, so I'd volunteer to do that as well.

The UK version of Millionaire has 12 questions instead of 15, though it's 2/5/5 instead of 4 per level.
Here's an idea: you write a game, I'll write a game, and we'll compare notes. Just be warned that I will exploit the "has to connect to Sasuke rule" for all it's worth.

Okay, I'll throw together some questions and try to order them by difficulty.
lol, it's harder than it seems to come up with questions that aren't completely obvious when given multiple choice.

Up to a certain point, that's completely fine.
I'm pretty much done with my game, although this idea's pretty much been shot to hell thanks to a recent thread in the General forum.
[ETA: Done, and even added categories, since I'd be going by most of the new rules. Lifelines would be 50:50, Ask the Audience, Ask the Expert (provided one wants to sequester him/herself), Double Dip (third tier only)]

Now that I have enough material (45 questions+ without looking at the Trivia thread) to feel confident enough to host an event, I would like to know who I would talk to in order to get this thing approved and advertised.
Alas, I would be forced to call it Monster9 Millionaire to be honest. Yes, a majority of questions (over 2/3) are slanted to SASUKE, but there's just not enough material, and there's lots of interesting things to learn from the other M9 sports. Plus, who doesn't enjoy a challenge

So basicly this will be Sasuke, Kinniku Banzuke, Viking, Kunoichi, Sportsman #1 and maybe Muscle Musical?
