The competitor must take a rope and swing off the side of a high platform. When the rope swings back, the competitor must swing and jump onto another platform below. There is a bungee line that limits the rope's movement.
This is how someone would complete this obstacle. But I'm sorta confused about how someone could fail the Rope Reverse.
You just grab the rope and jump over the small bungee line. Would you lose your grip falling? Because every run I have seen, the competitor just jumps and then quickly goes down to the lower padding.
Help?

what one of them(I believe only) did was got caught by the end of rope, didn't expect any shock, and fell.
Also, Bungee Bridge...

That might be why it lasted 1 tournament.... Usually boring + easy = death for an obstacle

The rope reverse would be ok if they made it harder.

That was one of the weirdest first stages ever.
The next obstacle, the Reverse Fly, was also pretty... weird.
It was a silly obstacle, like the Dance Bridge, that was meant to last one tournament.

Only two guys failed it, one of which was the first guy to ever attempt it.

Seems like the first guy to attempt an obstacle almost always does something weird.

I liked the dance bridge, sure it didn't eliminate many people, if any at all, but it was a good idea. Unfortunately, if they made it harder, with smaller sections it might potentially be sort of dangerous. ON TOPIC The only way someone would fail the reverse fly, was if a) Their grip gave out, or b) They misjudged the length of the rope, similar to some people on the ANW rope swing.

It seems that it would require a lot of grip, but still a ton cleared it.
16 was definitely the weirdest first stage. It also had the terrible Delta Bridge/ Grip Hang in the second stage. At least they were trying to be creative.

IMO the only way they could have failed was grabbing the rope too low (so touching the water) or waaay too high.

This is WAY off topic but what does "IMO" mean? Thanks.

IMO-In my opinion And so I can be on topic, as other people said 16's course was weird, rope reverse, reverse fly and delta bridge were just all strange.

and delta bridge were just all strange. Sorry for straying from the attempt at going back on topic but if you think about it isn't the Unstable Bridge an improved Delta Bridge?

Yeah alot of these "weird obstacle's" were fun to watch. Sucks they all were removed after 1 tournament. I wonder what happened at M9. Did some guy want to give his last obstacle ideas before he quit or something?

That's what I thought as soon as I saw it. I even started calling it the Delta Swing until informed that wasn't the actual name. I liked the Delta Bridge for some reason...
