Here's a trailer to Wipeout: The game for Nintendo DS and Wii
It looks pretty good honestly. But the gameplay is the most important, and its what they failed to show, just looked like a bunch of cut scenes.
It'll be out in June.

It does look fun, but like you, I wish they showed some actual game play. They end up showing you high quality graphics that you know have no chance of ending up in the game.

I predict it's going to suck. I'm right behind you guys, though I'm honestly expecting it to be EVEN WORSE. Not "E.T. for Atari 2600" bad, but more like "a 1...out of 5 on X-Play" bad.

I've yet to see anyone be able to make an obstacle course type video game that in any way shape or form resembles the real thing.
The newer Sasuke games are nice looking, but at are about half speed, which really take the fun out of it, and the lower tech ones (such as G4 flash) move at a good speed but just... suck...
I have my doubts if this will be worth playing

I think no one can make a course that resembles the real thing, because it's impossible to. You'll always have different ways to play them, because some obstacles are harder to replicate than others. In terms of the Wipeout game, I would rather rent it first, then buy if it has any actual redeeming qualities. Probably won't, but Wipeout is my favorite summer show, so I'm inclined to want to play it.

Says the man who's biased towards KB3... It is an awesome game though.

I'd go for Jigoku, but that's mainly for the graphics...
I wouldn't buy this game. I don't really like WipeOut.

You know they're hiding something when they don't show the actual gameplay.....

It doesn't look that bad. But I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. I don't think it'll be very good. At all.
