I still don't know why we need spoilers in the 25 thread, but to keep the trend...
I may be going out on a limb saying this and I may even take back what I'm about to say, but I think the Slider Drop was the single worst obstacle in Sasuke history.
It required no strength or skill. It was ALL luck. I thought the producers learned their lesson with bars in 20?
I'll repeat that lesson: Metal bars on metal tracks do not slide uniformly. They "stick" and twist. There's nothing you can do about it. You can't "readjust" or "shift your body weight." The bar will go any direction it wants.
Even the obstacle's dismount was terrible. No distance or aim was required and everyone landed on their a**es.
Please Higuchi, PLEASE bring the Chain Reaction back.

I disagree, but whatever. It wasn't supposed to be a hard obstacle, yet still failable. I thought it was a neat way to start off the stage.

Disagree as well. It was alright. It's fairly easily controllable, there weren't any incidents other than Levi who said he wasn't even trying to aim it anyway. The only problem they had with bars was in 20, and that was when you could fall off the track at any time, not just one specific point that you know is coming.
When I first saw the trailers and wasn't looking closely, I thought the bar had no stoppers on the sides. Now that would have been hard...

Yea, I agree with Bada. While I disagree completely about the all luck part (see: Levi on the Stick Slider), it doesn't necessarily require any strength either if the bar moves down the track correctly.

The Slider Drop isn't all luck. It requires a small bit of strength and some decent skill to keep the bar relatively straight. I also don't think it's the worst obstacle in all of Sasuke history.
The Chain Reaction could be fun if they changed it a little. I think the old one was far too easy.

I thought the whole point of the obstacle is to keep the bar straight as you go down, so it does require skill, it's just a shame Levi did not know this, perhaps lost in translation?

if you want to make the case for the Slider Drop, then what about the Slider Jump? It's the same kind of obstacle, just the Drop is longer. If anything, the Jump would be worse than the Drop based on your arguments.
I thought it was pretty cool, though.

I called it to myself that it was Levi to fail once they showed us that lit up Stage 2 fail of the Slider Drop, but it wasn't a terrible obstacle. The drop is more troublesome than you think, because of Levi's failure, that's probably why Takeda went so slow on it. Plus, considering how far the end is to the mats, it's good that the competitors don't have a clear cut shot to the mat, too little of a dismount they plop into the water, just missing those mats. Considering the Downhill Jump's path pretty much confirmed if you made it to the end you'll at least fail the Salmon Ladder, this was a nice change.

The obstacle was ok. Definetly not the worst but not the best either. Im thinking that they will attach it with the Salmon Ladder next tournament.
