It's one of those tournaments that I realize I know nothing about, I know what happens toward the end but that was about it. Seeing it on G4 once way back when doesn't mean I know this tournament, lul.
This is a great f**king treat before Sasuke 25 arrives (though don't talk about it here) so I busted out some of my specifically bought munchies for this tournament a day and a half early.
The quality? It's brilliant, you have to see a tournament that's so old in this kind of resolution with this many pixels, don't miss it.
Things I haven't seen before? The opening promo shots that seem to be recorded a day before competition. It's kinda gimmicky as it seems a little unlike the event happens for real and seems a bit more staged before the show, plus there's 3 announcers in one room talking about the show which was taken out soon after.
You know how the competitors line up at night and Furutachi yells "attacku! SASUKE!" then the old logo comes up. No not the blue one that we have today where the "S" spins into the center to form SASUKE, the "old" one. The letters instead spin through a series of image environments and then light up, THAT one I liked so much more I used it twice during SASUKE 24- All Trailers.
Furthermore on this JET Sasuke 7 we see competitors lined up ON THE COURSE, literally standing across Stage 1. That was particularly cheesy & epic.
I haven't got through Stage 1 yet as I'm still sipping my cherry pepsi while writing this, but it's a great one so far. See it and then come back here.
