Lottery should be interesting if M9 stays out of it (As in, Nagano has just the same chance as everyone else)
Also yay for better announcers.
Man, this is shaping up to be awesome! I havn't been this pumped since my first live broadcast.

omg the possibilities are endless.. Nagano and Yuuji.. #1 and #2.. Mr. Octopus at 100.. ROFL.. omg I can't wait!!!!!! How is this a ROFL? You know he deserves this number! Also, like most of you, the number idea seems pretty stupid/bad for ratings/extremely likely to screw up Sasuke Guessing Game V/etc. Whoever thought this up, WOW.

I've heard more positive comments than comments saying it was stupid. Something was bound to happen akin to the race in 18, and this is actually kinda cool. For my own course I make for my friends, I used to do a lottery. It was great.

Pretty stoked about the lottery thing! Can't wait to see how that plays out. xD And of course it's nice to get confirmation on competitors (even if we knew that they would compete anyways.) it's never bad to be sure.

I'm sorry, this is a HORRIBLE way to do it. Yuuji worked so hard to get the big 100 and he probably didn't get it. Stupid idea, M9. It's not a marathon like they made Nagano run.. you want that instead? LOL I hated that just as bad. Out of all tournaments to do something special, they picked the two that should have had the numbers set in stone.

I think this could be interesting at least. I'm a little worried about all the new stuff they're doing to Sasuke right now (because of the fail that was Kunoichi 8), but... I'll give it a chance.
I mean, it COULD be good, I guess.

Only US confirmations for "Orozco" and "Myuenbagu!", eh? Interesting.
I guess G4 is resting on it's laurels until ANW2... not that that surprised ANYONE AT ALL.

I think the lottery thing is quite a cool idea actually. After all, it is a brand new course.

I mean, it COULD be good, I guess. I'm actually feeling the reverse for one reason only.. Higuchi is back at the helm. Before he left it to Number 1 but now Mr. H is taking it back and doing his own things. Since he came back he's tried to get back the ratings and doing better in picking dates that were good for Japan ratings. So far it's hanging in (and not getting worse) and so long as he doesn't kunoichi this thing I think it's all good. At least it's strong enough that even through it hasn't aired yet we know there's a Sasuke 26 and G4 is already given the go ahead to cast for it during the summer. So it can only mean good news if TBS is dedicated to continue showing Sasuke.

I think you're worrying about nothing Oti. Sasuke is a long running special that has been done pretty much the same every time and only real difference is the obstacles and the times (and what people compete but that's not what I'm trying to say). Kunoichi hasn't been running as long and as opposed to 2 or 3 tournaments a year it only has 1 a year (Granted Sasuke has had one a year once or twice but that's not the point) and was pretty much thought to be canceled for lack of anything in 2008. Kunoichi's ratings never were as high as Sasuke so for a revival they had room to experiment (even if that experiment failed but not the point). Not to mention that Kunoichi has always had different ideas between tournaments, 1 and 2 had only 3 stages, and the second stage was timed for half of it and the rest was untimed and an untimed balance walk for a final, After that went to the traditional 4 stage format but had a timed stage 3, they did do things right with the 4 stages with untimed stage 3 but even after that they strayed a little considering Kunoichi 6 had that B.S time trial rule of stage 2 so you can clear and not move on. So Kunoichi they had room to work with and Sasuke is pretty much something they can't mess with. I think you're worried about nothing oti.

Lol, Higuchi is back? I can only imagine.
Higuchi: WHAT?! YOU LET SOMEBODY WIN?!
#1 in command: I'm... I'm sorry! I thought it'd be good for ratings!!!
Higuchi: YOU'RE FIRED!!
jfeathe: be mad if you want, but I guarantee Yuuji would rather have a low number than 100. When he was #99 he was completely freaked out. No one likes the stress of being a high number. Not Yuuji, not Takeda, not Yamada, not Nagano.

I imagine some people like it. You get to sit back all day and just absorb the stuff in front of you. I'd still rather be somewhere in the middle, though. I'm impatient.

I agree with Oti. Though the one advantage of running it with a higher number is the chance to run it at night, which I think would be cooler.
I'd personally want around 60ish.

I'd like a number in the high 40s or low 50s. And Bada, the only time 60s have ever run in darkness is Sasuke 18 and maybe 19. I dont know if thats what you meant so please dont take any offense

I love a number in the mid teens to low 20s. Just enough to see one or two make it past the halfway point. Too much after that and I'd be too nervous.

How did this thread get so off-topic? What does this have to do with the TBS page?

I dont know if thats what you meant so please dont take any offense I said I'd rather have a number in the middle, like 60. But if I DID have a high number it wouldn't be all bad, because there'd be the chance to run the course at night. Also you get to watch more people and get more time to develope a strategy.
