I'd say that because it's being announced officaly by tbs it for everyone. But it'll be e.g yuuji will go first and there wouldnt be a number below 85 and as they go on they add more numbers. Also was it known before 18 aired that they were doing a race? That was before my time but I do remember specials running showing that they were doing a marathon. The competitors however found out the day they showed up.. LOL

Picking numbers by lottery? That should be interesting. I'm glad that Akiyama was there. It's great that he's back again. And I'm glad that they confirmed Shingo and Takeda, although, was there really any doubt that those two would compete? I don't think anything short of a broken leg would stop them, and maybe not even that. No Yamada? Aww, crud! I hope he comes back for Sasuke 26. Even if he skipped 25, I really don't think he'll completely retire. He's said several times that he would, and he even skipped Sasuke 13, but he came back for 14. I really hope he does come back.

It would have been a joke if Yamada showed up to 25 after the huge spectacle TBS made in 24. Not a clue what TBS will do for 26 though. Personally irregardless of who it is.. I can't stand when "retired" people come back over and over. Cheapens the concept of retiring..

*cough*Brettfarve*cough*
Anyway, this sounds pretty cool. I hope that Akiyama gets a low #, if it is a total lottery. I can't wait!

Coming from Chicago, I am completely biased at MJ, so I can't say I agree.
But we're getting off topic.

I'm sorry, this is a HORRIBLE way to do it. Yuuji worked so hard to get the big 100 and he probably didn't get it.
Stupid idea, M9.

I will be laughing so hard if aoki gets 100. But yeah i dont really like this idea. The race was actually better. No Shiratori At least Akiyama was there.

It's not a marathon like they made Nagano run.. you want that instead? LOL Yeah.. because at least the final 10 competitors were strong athletes who did well in the race. If this number system is as completely random as it sounds, We may see every All star run the course before we even get to competitor number 80. We may see one of our new stars with a number below 10 or Levi might be 41. Who knows, but it's gonna be pretty funky..

Nagano ran slow on purpose since he had a sprained ankle anyway.. and picked a low number but TBS made him go and pick a higher number.. he wasn't so happy about it LOL. I know some where encouraged to not take all the high numbers for this reason P.S. Takeda wasn't even in the race LOL

Something I noticed about that page, The new secondary announcer, This isn't his first time on Sasuke.. He was at Sasuke 24.. As a competitor www.majhost.com/gallery/manaleader/AvatarTwentyTwenty6/itoyusukecompetitorannouncer.jpgAnd I trust the commentator on Sasuke over google translate so I'm guessing his name is Ito Yusuke and not Takeshi Ito (If you don't remember him he was a Jumping Spider failure, If you still don't remember him I think that "News 2 3" program he works on was on before Sasuke 24 because I remember watching that between the preview and broadcast)

I know some where encouraged to not take all the high numbers for this reason P.S. Takeda wasn't even in the race LOL I had that in mind whilst writing what I said, was there another downside to doing a race you care to mention? I think the race was "the less bad" option because at least people could choose their numbers, isn't Nagano just as likely to get an unsuitable number? People who were the best in the race and wanted high numbers would make a good 91-100, but from what I gather it could be anyone this time. Isn't this new lotto way of doing it random like the draw from a hat? (I usually don't ask you to answer things for me, but I can't read the Japanese on that page... yet! and oh yeah, you guys use translators, well I just remembered that but am already done writing this post, lul)

Didn't even realize he competed prior to 24. Although you're welcome for the find (even if maybe you guys knew that one too XD)

What if the 4 all stars that competed are #1-4. Still really dont like that lottery idea though. I hope they get rid of it for Sasuke 26. They should make it that the furthest person from the Tournament gets to pick their number first, then the second furthest picks, and so on.

They should make it that the furthest person from the Tournament gets to pick their number first, then the second furthest picks, and so on. I really don't see how something like this could come as a surpise to anyone. After a race before 18, TBS was definitely going to make it so in some way, the number process was going to be fair. Guys, relax, this is all going to be gone by 26. Yuuji will probably still be #100 there, regardless of what anyone does. Also, I guarantee the All-Stars, at least Nagano and Takeda, will get high numbers no matter what. It would be ratings suicide to have them and other elite players go early (like 1-30) and then fail because they haven't seen the course. I wouldn't be surprised if Yuuji, Nagano, and Takeda just "happened" to get numbers in the 90s.
