There sure are a lot of spoiler tags. So, is it possible that because Higuchi is back, we are getting something like the old course? I mean, that would make the most sense. He is back, as far as I know.

Seeing the grey border around the steps makes me think they reduced the numberof the steps. Maybe it's just a bad camera angle though. Though seeing the blockers on Nagano and Akiyama's numbers made me lol

Hmm, I need to be vewwy, vewwy careful because I don't know how to spoilerize stuff. Help me out, mods.
There are a number of top competitors who have no or little experience with the Sasuke 25 obstacles we know about. It'll be interesting to see how they do.

Should we just make one super-spoiler-thread where we can talk about spoiler stuff without having to use the tags?

The spoiler option comes up when you reply using the main button (not the quick reply). Either use the button that says spoilers and post between the markers.. or highlight the section you want spoilered.. then hit the button and it does it for you.

Incoming speculation by me: Going with what little info we have (obstacles, mat colors, whatever) and running with it. It seems like SASUKE could be going back to a more "classic" first stage with 8 obstacles and a time limit between 60-90 seconds. If they were to do that, I actually would like it better. Personally, I wouldn't mind a First Stage where it's more of a sprint than a long jog, like most of Shin-SASUKE's First Stage was. Let's just wait and see what else develops and 11 days can't come soon enough! Other thoughts: I'm really surprised but happy to see the Jump Hang and Rolling Log back. Although, I didn't think they would go back to old obstacles, it will be interesting to see how these versions stack up to previous ones and if anything was done to them.
However, didn't Lee Enchi say that either the Log Grip or the Jumping Spider was staying? If he actually is telling the truth, then where do they fit in this stage? I'm really excited to see this Third Stage now. The third stage has needed a good kick in difficulty for awhile and it seems M9 heard our complaints about the last one. Maybe the Log Grip spins with some kind of gear setup so it is like the Rolling Maruta? As for a jump hang AND jumping spider.. I don't know how both fit in unless it's some kind of variation of the obstacles.

Click "Reply", and in the "Add Tags:" section, look for the letters "Spl" in a button. Its on the far right. Anything in those (Spoilers) (Spoilers) words, will be hidden in the spoilers box.

While I like the idea that the jump hang and the Rolling Log are both back in action, I agree with JP, I was expecting brand new obstacles. The new rounded steps aren't looking too crash hot either. But we'll just have to wait and see. 10 days, 23 hours, 35 minutes and 30 seconds to go

I like the idea that we're going back to old school, personally. I liked the pre-18 First Stage a lot more...but that's another thread. Lee said the Log Grip OR the Jumping Spider is gone, so... 2 log obstacles or 2 trampoline obstacles? I don't know. Perhaps they're putting the Jumping Spider in Stage 2. Remember, the Spider Walk was a Stage 2 obstacle, and it would also fit with the return to old school. Or they're having some variations. As a competitor wannabe, though, I don't liek the idea of the Rolling Log coming back...it's funny to watch, but I hate flipping like that. Gives me headache.

Well, deviating from Stage 1, they said that Stage 3 was totally messed up(basically). So, is it possible that the "unbeatable" cliffhanger is one of the easier obstacles?
Also, Stage 2, i think the Salmon Ladder is back, along with the Spider Walk in Stage 2.
Oh yeah, I really hope the Circle Slider is back.

Is the first obstacle some type of steps? Ube got a pic of #10 doing it. Looks that way, We don't know the exact number or what twist there is in it but we do know this, they're rounded. It's also something to note look at the side of the steps, it has the stone pattern again like the old Rokudantobi.
As for #10, I recognise him from 24, It's a comedian called "Dandy Sakano", but that's more for the other topic

It wasn't a google translation iirc, it was a few people here who did the translation. As gavo said, either Lee was flat out lying or there's something here that we aren't getting.

Well I already gave my thoughts on how Rolling Maruta and Log Grip can both be there without wasting alot of space. As for Jump Hang AND Jumping Spider.. Maybe it's the Sasuke 13 Jump Hang that goes directly into a Spider Walk?
