Both are very hard obstacles. Both have taken out huge amounts of competitors.
Which do you think was a better obstacle?
The original Jump Hang? (5-12,14-17) The vertical Jump Hang? (13) Or the Deadly Jumping Spider? (18-23)

Original Jump Hang did its purpose in its era. Jumping Spider did its purpose in its era. Slight edge imo goes to Jumping Spider.
Vertical Jump Hang, I feel could've been made harder, as I found some practicality with it. Maybe they'll combine the vertical one with the JS, as odd a pairing that may be.

Oh yeah... Forgot about both Sasukepedia, but I also remember that obstacle now... Thanks! That Jump Hang was... umm... interesting... Although different and difficult, I prefer the original Jump Hang. Thanks Rider! TBH: I never saw the Jumping Spider as the new version of the Jump Hang. At first I saw the Flying Chute as the new version, and now the Slider Jump as the true following obstacle. Now you can argue that the Jumping Spider is in the same spot as the old Jump Hang, but the Soritatsu Kabe has also moved around in position (As does everything with time), so I don't know if that's a valid argument. So, back to what I was saying before I got off-track: I enjoyed the original Jump Hang, but I enjoyed the Slider Jump the most (The version used during it's introduction was the hardest, and I'd love to see it return.)

Jumping Spider for me guys. Thought it was a cool concept to jump and stick to the walls.

The jump hang. It was more entertaining to watch, gave better wipeouts, and looked like a hell of a lot of fun to try. So yes I believe the Net Jump Hang would be my favourite.

I like them both, but the slight edge goes to the Jump Hang for the dilemma of going over the net or risking a foot touch and going under the net.

Jumping Spider 1. i recalled seeing James Okada, Kane Kosugi, Pual Anthony Terek pawning the Jump Hang by grabbing the top bar. There may be others i left out. Others like Iketani Naoki, Nakata Daisuke, Nagasaki Shunsuke & some others got close to the top. 2. However i cannot recall anyone making the Jumping Spider look easy unless you are talking about Nagano but even then...err... 3. I did not check the exact numbers so this is just based on my impression. Many of the earlier trial qualifers in the old days beat the Jump Hang but got delayed or stopped by the Wall or time-out. However, many of the Shin-era Trial Qualifiers had failed Jumping Spider at least once. I used the trial qualifiers as a benchmark to judge the quality of the competitors disregarding the non-serious joke competitors. Of course i don't have the exact figures so this is just my impression. 4. the difficulty of the net is still there as found in the Slider Jump as Rider once point out

Uhrm, who can name that guy in sasuke 6 that reached the top of the jump hang and everyone ooooooed at? Jumping Spider 1. i recalled seeing James Okada, Kane Kosugi, Pual Anthony Terek pawning the Jump Hang by grabbing the top bar. There may be others i left out. Others like Iketani Naoki, Nakata Daisuke, Nagasaki Shunsuke & some others got close to the top. 2. However i cannot recall anyone making the Jumping Spider look easy unless you are talking about Nagano but even then...err... I could give you examples besides Nagano, mostly from the hardest version of the jumping spider. Koji Yamada touched the plexi glass part of the walls with his hands on his initial landing (whoa) & was done with the spider walk in about a few seconds. Iketani Naoki once had the highest landing anyone has ever jumped on that obstacle. Obviously it was a cake walk because of his pro sportsman #1 springboard record. Most of Urushihara's runs have him dominating the obstacle distance wise. Whether it was as far set as it was in 18, 19, or 20 up until the present, no matter, he would beat it.

2. However i cannot recall anyone making the Jumping Spider look easy unless you are talking about Nagano but even then...err... (Sorry about gif speed.. 4:08) (Also.. lets just focus on the jump and not the spider walk speed based on clock) 4. the difficulty of the net is still there as found in the Slider Jump as Rider once point out I believe my exact wording was "The Jump Hang is on the course.. they just put a hell of alot of things between the trampoline and the net though..."

Kubota Takayuki is the only time I've seen a 1-footed Jumping Spider attempt successfully (I remember seeing someone do it and failing in 20 though)
