I'm thinking about building a Warped Wall at the same location where I have the Slider Jump. The property is at about an 18 degree angle, I could make a level area if I had to, but it would be more work. Anyone have any ideas on how to build a very simple Warped Wall? Diagrams are good.
Thanks

Build the frame and put the wood on? Or curve some metal and put up some support bars like Bunpei's
And granted this one is higher and curved farther out than the real one, this is worth checking out the design of

Damn that's nuts! You could get hurt if you almost get it...but not quite.
Yeah that's an interesting design....especially how it's supported with that horizontal pipe.

Personally I would make one using the design of a traditional full sized half pipe if i were to make one, then just add the oververt to it, i dont know if you will consider it more work than its worth or not, but you can find the basic design for half or quarter pipes pretty easily on google, and could give you a very good basis with which to start your design.
Your property being on that angle could also be used as an advantage in the building process too, the warped all starts with a downhill to get some momentum, your property provides that already.

I honestly wouldn't build one because you already know you can do it. It would be different if this were a newer, scarier obstacle, but because we all know for a fact you can do it already, it's not worth pouring such a great amount of resources into. I wanted to build one before I went to Santa Monica last year. Not no mo'.
But, if you're determined to build it, I'll sketch something up for you. It's rather simple to build, just big. Like I said: lots of resources going into this one.

I'd wait until Sasuke 25 comes around to see what they come up with. They might make the Wall a different shape or width. They might even entirely remove it. You cleared the Wall on your first try, David. I don't think you need it

I don't need it at all really, it's just kind of a novelty thing for me. I can practice it at that skate park all I want. I just think it would be cool to have one there, which is why I'm trying to think of a really simple way to build it that would require minimal lumber.
Yeah Oti I'd be interested in seeing your design.
Basically the reason I want to build one is that I'm building an entire course similar to stage 1 that I can practice running with a time limit. It will probably end up being more demanding than the real stage one because I'll have to run up and down the hill to get to different obstacles.
Travis and BaronBK have both been lending a hand with construction.

Well you could do it the way Nagasawa did it.. in parts..

Actually I think I figured out how I'm going to do it today. We just finished building a horizontal platform on the hill for another obstacle, and the back side of it is about 10 feet high. walk a few feet downhill and that 10 feet becomes about 14 feet pretty quick. So I think I can use the backside of this platform and dig / pile dirt a little to form the main structure, and then just lay down some 2x4s and plywood for the rest!

Ah like the end of Nagasawa's video? Where when they break you could replace it in sheets? He had like 3 designs on it not just the picture on the front of the video.

Are you going to document the progress of your wall from start to finish and put it all in a convenient YouTube video? I like seeing those kinds of things.

Kind of irrelevent, but I just use a tree that looks "warped" to practice for the Wall sometimes. ;D

Well... I don't know if I would at this point. There's something that you know, that should you wonder if you'll need one. Sasuke 24 Spoilers:
I mean, TBS has even said they're planning on redoing everything 100%. Now sure, the last 2 times they redid the course, they left the warped wall...
But as Rider said, you can already do it , and seeing as how they may remove it...

Practicing on a straight wall doesn't actually help that much. I think I only got up the Warped Wall in Santa Monica so easily because I can do wall flips and their technique is rather relevant (besides the flip itself).

Maybe when they redo the course, they'll just put in a bigger wall like the Great Wall?
