The athletes that retire at 30 aren't true athletes. They're hacks. They only played to get rich and now they're done. An example of a REAL athlete is Nagano. Things are getting harder and he's getting older, but he's still out there, busting his a**, doing the best he can. That said, Bunpei isn't too old to recover and get into the best shape of his life, nor is it too late for Yamada to do the same. Will Bunpei compete? Hard to tell at this point. What if that true athlete traind every day of his life since he was a teenager in that sport and only had to retire becuase his body couldn't do any more or injuries forced an early retirement. I agree Nagano IS a true athlete. But let's be honest- SASUKE only happens 2 or 3 times a year. What about the athletes that are putting their bodies on the line every day?

That's not the same as, "Hey dudes, check me out! I'm loaded and in my prime! RETIREMENT!" People with the passion who are FORCED to retire for some reason are not the same as these hacks we see today.
What about them? You're making it sound like they're so hard on their bodies, they're forced to retire early. If that's the case, that lumps them in with the people I mentioned above, thereby making them NOT hacks.

That had nothing to do with his age. he just doesnt have good balance. Remember when he fell on the balance tank? Almost cracked his head open i think. Yeah, it was painful. But at least he didn't do a banana split on the tank like Yamada did in 11... *cringe* ...that said though, while I really want him to come back, I fear that 21 was the last tournament for one Bunpei Shiratori.

I do not think he is coming, a back injury in your 40s, is difficult to usually come back, especially for any athlete.

A back injury and a serious knee injury that took a lot of surgery from 22-24 he still hasn't 100% recovered so I think he'll play it safe till 26 depending on how hes feeling.
