Well i came on the measuring thing and saw my hiegh was 5'11" and i have like a 6'1" wing span, so then i started to wonder, if you have the wing span, and u reach across the jumping bars?
Ya kno, kinda like monkey bars exept instead of sumthin like 4in inbetween its 5ft.
So just wondering is tht okay to do or is it a disqualification if you do do it...

Whats funny is I was wondering the same thing recently "Well can you just reach across the Jumping Bars like people do on the Swing Ladder or would you be disqualified". I was wondering that since "Why do they need all those bars on the Swing Ladder? Why not make it less, oh, thats the Jumping Bars, Well can you do the Jumping Bars like Monkey Bars?"

Uh, if you watch the video, the bars are a good 7-8 feet apart, thus making it hard to do monkey bars with the Jumping Bars.

I'm pretty sure you would get disqualified for doing the Jumping Bars like Monkey Bars, for these reasons. 1. Somebody would have tried it by now, if you could do that. 2. (kinda controdicting myself) The people that have attempted it don't have a wingspan that long, so I guess they think that nowbody with a wingspan will get that far, considering that most people with a wingspan that long weigh at least 180 lbs(refering to adults) and people like Nagano weigh like 140-150 lbs so they have a easier shot at making it that far. 3. I don't even think you could reach it anyway, when you consider how far away it is and then add on the depth.

yeh thts wat i thought
i mean, im pretty tall so if i ever get 2 stage 3, which is very small, and i get 2 the jumping bars and spider flip i should be able 2 reach/ step across them...
providing for the spider flip, im flexible enough, also, very slim.

Yep, it's 4 just cause Rider says so. If it was 4 or even 5 feet, wouldn't someone like Bunpei or even Nagano hit the next bar while swinging? Seriously, it's farther than if a person layed down straight on the bars.

Well a few times people had to bend their legs so they didn't hit the bar, I remember Bunpei doing this and maybe Takeda

I'm the same ehigth, and wouldn't your "swing span: be the SAME as your heigth? Not more... that's not possible unless your arms are like freakishly longer than they should be. Anyway, I doubt I could reach across that gap, especially since it's not only a good 5-6 feet across, but it's slanted downwards, which also increase the distance and ruins the flexibility.
The bars arn't straight across, they are slanted like I said, you couldn't get the full reach of your arms anyway, one would be hanging so you'd get no distance, and the other would be reaching for the bottom one so your "wingspan" would be more like 4 feet.
And reaching out on the spider flip would make it more difficult, you have a small ledge, you'd have to turn around without falling, then FALL hoping you'd grab onto the ledge and have enough upper body strength to hold your entire weigh there and transfer from one side to the next.
Trust me, you're only making these obstacles harder on yourself by trying to cheat.
Do them normally, it's easier, funner, doesn't break the rules, and if you can't do them without cheating you have no chance at the final stage anyway.

Even if you could reach the distance, it would probably be harder. Imagine doing monkey bars at full stretch. Unless you did it sideways, you wouldn't have your full armspan, because that includes the width of your torso. I don't think you really want to be hanging from one arm that far into the third stage, anyway.

Tell that to Michael Phelps. He's about 6'4, but he has a 6'7 wingspan. Anyway, I definately agree that it would be extremely difficult to swing for the bars, because the descent of it throws you off. It would probably be easier just to jump for it, same goes for the Spider Flip.

I knew someone would bring up michael phelps...
anyway, that's because he's a swimmer, his body changes according to daily routine.
if I swam that much everyday I'd be the same, but I don't.
He also has webbed feet, he got that from swimming a bunch to.
Naturally, you're wingspan wouldn't be longer than your heigth.
