Sad as it may be, Sasuke's ratings have been slipping, and we might have to live with the reality Sasuke isn't going to last forever. Sasuke Mania just ended, No mention of Kunoichi 8, So what will we all do if Sasuke comes to an end? Will eventually all of us pitch in and set up our own Sasuke, sure it may not be as great as Monster9's but it would still be like Sasuke. Have it gain popularity, record it, make up obstacles, and even have our own group of All-Stars. After years of doing it the Sasuke V2 would gain enough popularity it can be almost as good as the real thing. We could even have someone who knows japanese to announce it the same way

If it ends, I'll be thankful that I got to see at least one live Japanese broadcast, and hope that they start to show irregular reruns in Japan. I wouldn't be too bothered if nothing similar comes out of it. Sasuke is one of a kind.
At least it's had a good run. Sasuke isn't the sort of thing that can ever really have a satisfying conclusion, to its proper fans at least, so any time it ends is going to suck, but it has to happen at some point. All good things must come to an end.

Really, the only "proper ending" I could see is if someone beat the course and then that was the end of the show. It would end the series on a high note instead of it just wandering off into obscurity.
Honestly, even if it ends, I'll be sad but I'll also still be happy. Sasuke has become a big part of my life and I'll never forget it. I've got to experience 2 live Japanese broadcasts, met some great people along the way, and honestly, I wouldn't change anything that I've done during this whole experience.

. I wouldn't be too bothered if nothing similar comes out of it. Sasuke is one of a kind. What about something similar? Like Viking (well thats already canceled but you get the idea) or something.

Unless Monster 9 creates another similar obstacle course, I think it won't be that good.

I never really liked Viking very much. I doubt I'd be able to get into anything similar anywhere near as much as Sasuke itself.

Well it'd be better than nothing. And again, it doesn't matter if you don't like Viking, that was just an example of another Monster9 Similar show.

Thank you for clarifying, my feeble brain was not properly able to comprehend the subtle nuances that go into each and every one of your posts.

Okay, this is going to sound really stupid, but this is all speculation, right? They haven't actually said it's over?
.....Or am I wrong?

Its just a guess, I was making a what-if situation. I mean ratings are slipping, Sasuke Mania was canceled, no word on if theres a Kunoichi 8.

Sasuke 22 was already confirmed :0
So we have that!
I'd be happy if they ended at 50 =] That means I'd hav eplenty of chances to get on the show myself, it would last me for years, and it would end on an awesome number and as an anniversary thing. Even if it DOES get canceled, they still might bring it back every few years or so for anniversary tournaments, that'd be cool.
Like a 15 or 20 year anniversary.

22 was confirmed, but that doesn't mean it will stay that way. TV is a fickle business. Then again, I imagine it would take a lot more to cancel an annual show than it would a regular TV drama or something with consistently low ratings. I honestly doubt it will get cancelled anytime soon, but we shouldn't be having this problem in the first place; the advertising and scheduling is just ridiculous.

Well, the ball is really in TBS's court if they want to do anything more with Sasuke. Monster 9 definitely still wants to do it and I believe Higuchi-san himself said that there would be at LEAST two more years of Sasuke, but how much power does he really have over TBS? Ultimately, they have the final say. If TBS does drop them, the show could move to a different network.

I suppose another factor is how much money Monster9 have. Each tournament they're going to be getting a little less from TBS (as the advertising rate lowers), so it depends how much they're willing to put into it out of their other projects. Then again, maybe TBS will deem the advertising revenue too low and simply cut it from TV.

Well, if TBS thinks they can put a show on in that time slot and have better ratings than what Sasuke has been getting, then they'll definitely get rid of Sasuke.

If it ends, I'd be upset, but I know that not everything lasts forever. I might even go back and make blueprints of all the obstacles so that one day if I'd ever have enough money I could build the entire course and invite people to come try it out haha. I know that Sasuke will stay a part of me for my entire life, though. I will also never stop training to strengthen myself now that I know the great feeling that comes from feeling healthy and active. Hopefully though, Sasuke will not get cancelled until long after myself and many others can try out the course and hopefully do very well.

My predictions are as follows... Sasuke: end at 25 Kunoichi: end at 10 It's gonna be terribble when Sasuke ends, but the truth of the matter is that(like someone said, maybe bada or okembemo) all good things come to a end, I mean com on Sasuke has been around for almost 12 years thats a long time, longer than some of the people's lifetimes on this forum. Someone also mentioned the idea of people like us creating one, continueing Sasuke in America would be a great thing, I hate to be a pessimist, but we all live in different parts of the country and a good number of us are under the ages of 18-completely independent and 22-independent and working, So I would love that idea, but just so unlikely. Really I think some of us saw this coming, before i joined the forum I had thoughts about this, and now the confirmations are starting to slowly poor in.

If and when Sasuke ends, I'll probably feel one of two ways:
1: Like I did when Avatar: The Last Airbender finished. Sad that it was over but glad that I was able to see it.
or 2: Like I did when Jake 2.0 was canceled during its first season: Really Pissed. I loved that show and was so angry at its not being given an end.
More than likely Sasuke will end up being like the older shows from the sixties, giving people fond memories of nostalgia while it is played to death in syndicated re-runs. I'm hoping it goes on for a few more years, or at least until someone makes the Final Stage again, but you can never predict these things.
