Looking at the X-Bridge I think I noticed what they messed up about it from turning a good obstacle like the Cross Bridge to one of the biggest mistakes in obstacle creation.
1: They put it after the Junidantobi.
They make an obstacle about jumping back and forth after they know you can do that 11 times and jump forwards, a new first obstacle was needed for this to be an effective obstacle.
Look at which tournaments the Cross Bridge was failed in most, 13, 14 and 15, Where the first obstacle was the Prism See-Saw, Ensuitobi and Hurdle Jump, it was practically unfailed in 16 with the Rokudantobi added and 17 just had a bit more fails.
2: The steps were spaced too close.
Each "Blade" was much shorter than the Cross Bridge ones meaning you could get to the next one faster by literally stepping across, and they were spaced closer together making for shorter jumps meaning you could get across without shifting the weight where as if you had to JUMP each one you would be shifting the weight.
3: Perfectly Weighted.
Look at the X-Bridge and how it's just a straight forward line of "Blades" appearing just as the name suggests, in a perfect X shape. Look at the old Cross Bridge how on top it had a narrow vertical block perfectly in the middle which makes the obstacle more top heavy and also forcing you to step higher onto the "Blades" as opposed to pretty much just walking through the middle meaning you can make it perfectly balanced.
4: Returning former obstacle.
This has got to be the biggest mistake they made about it, I believe if an obstacle is removed it was removed for a reason and should stay retired. Look at the Arm Bike in 18, Kudari Ranpu Grasper being an easier version of the Ranpu Grasper (which the original was only failed by two people and 4 times total fails), Hell.. even the Balance Tank being returned to Stage 2 (which is later in the course but whatever), it was failed by no one and adding a rope made it even easier since you could just jump onto the rope and not have to worry about your balance, plus adding a part to the end making it stop earlier made it even easier, I liked the Balance Tank when it first appeared but if you ask me it was retired for a reason. (Although a much better obstacle than the Net Bridge, Skywalk and Swing Ladder).
Or maybe I'm just rambling on and over-thinking this disaster of an obstacle... XD
