Sasuke 24 was awesome, but two of the obstacles weren't.
1.) The X-Bridge was absolutely pathetic. They made it 10 times easier than the Cross Bridge. The is was probably the worst bridge of all time. What were they thinking?
2.) The Rope Junction failed to do anything at all. I am confident I could clear it, and I am not strong at all.

The rope junction looked cool but it didn't belong in the 3rd stage it was more of a 1st stage obstacle, infact it was a 1st stage obstacle remember the Tarzan jump in 10-12 that was near the same as the rope junction the Tarzan jump would probarly be harder because that's on a bungee. Thank god we won't see any of them in 25 (thanks yuuji;)

I found the Quarter Bridge to be dumber than the X Bridge. It was the second obstacle, they had to make it easier. But the Rope Junction was the single worst obstacle of all time by far. Want a Top 10? 10. Jyunidantobi, 23-24. Good idea in theory but was poorly designed and was defeated by all but the joke competitors (and Omori) in 24. 9. Swing Ladder, 20-22. The producers had one too many during a production meeting and figured people would fail monkey bars in Stage Two. 8. Climbing Bars, 14-18. An easier version of the Swing Ladder and yet it was in Stage Three. And how did it get into Shin-SASUKE? The producers most like monkey bars. (Okay everyone take note, Final Stage v4 will be 50 meters of monkey bars) 7. Gyakuso Conveyor, 1-13. Uhh... I mean sure it was a slowdown obstacle when the second stage was 50 seconds but... 6. Delta Bridge, 16. 15 of 16 cleared this obstacle and the one who failed was running out of time. It would have been good if it were really long and in Stage Three but as a very short Second Stage obstacle the competitors quickly learned how to pwn it and that was the end of that. 5. Wall Lift, 1-17,18-24. This isn't an obstacle. It's stupid and punishes lighter contestants. 4. Maruta Zaka, 17. It should probably be higher than 4. The plank after the Halfpipe Attack is more difficult, and yet somehow five dimwits failed it. Horrible excuse for an "obstacle", in fact "obstacle" is a loose interpretation. 3. Hang Move, 2-3. Granted it was an early obstacle but utterly pathetic and no one even struggled on it. 2. Stick Slider, 18-23. Poorly designed, the stick literally stopped dead in its tracks, and only one person failed and shouldn't have. 1. Rope Junction, 24 and hopefully not beyond. Rope swing, then... uh.... another rope swing? We have that in Stage One, thank you. This was supposed to be harder than the Descending Lamp Grasper? It was tacky and ridiculous. Higuchi should take "complete renewal" more seriously and fire everyone who was involved in the creation of that obstacle. Honorable Mention: Devil Buranco, 14-17. A trapeze? Really? It was also poor in design as evident by the epic screwups by Nagano and Kobayashi. And then there was Yamada Koji, the poor sucker who couldn't swing worth crap. I bet he was made fun of on the playground for inability to use a swingset.

The problem with that list is none of those obstacles were designed to take out people, except Wall Lift and Devil Balanco, and I'm appalled you would have those there. The Wall Lift is the epitome of a slowdown obstacle with a smaller purpose: to weed out anyone who got lucky in the first stage. Of course it "punishes" smaller guys: if you aren't strong enough to lift 3 walls, you don't deserve to go to Stage 3. Devil Buranco was considered damn near impossible until someone FINALLY got the technique down. Shinji and Nagano failed by messing themselves up in a freak accident, not because it was a poor design. And Koji was the one to actually be the first to PASS the obstacle the right way, he never failed it iirc.
The fact you have Wall Lift there instead of Shoulder Walk at least makes this list laughable.
I just realized you had Gyakuso Conveyor.....considering something some of the obstacle you don't have there you have this one and this actually contributed to having people fail....
My list you can disagree with but I only included things that (for that era) had no use:
Bungee Bridge (funny how that isn't there) Swing Ladder (filler but that was just in no a realistic failable obstacle in Sasuke, Kunoichi it was failed by Rie not letting go) Net Bridge (really just a filler -- at least this could be failable hypothetically) Shoulder Walk (if they actually made it into the Galleon from Viking it could be credible)
It's just one obstacle.......should people really be fired because you didn't like Rope Junction? I swear just because you're willing to stay up late to catch a live broadcast doesn't give you the right to say idiotic things like that. And if I sound bitchy, this is nothing. I undertstand there are some obstacles aren't going to be liked, but it seems people don't like them for being nothing more than having a specific goal.

I actually like the rope obstacle.
I wish the gap between the 2nd and 3rd rope was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY longer, that way you had to swing holding the first 2 ropes, jump, and hope you make it to the 3rd longer rope, just like how the first guy did it.
But yeah, it was easy. This obstacle was WAY better than them rehashing.
Honestly, I'd rather a new s***ty obstacle than for them to bring back an obstacle.

I thought it was a cool idea at first, especially when Tajima was going. I agree, the 2nd and 3rd gap needed to be larger and make the obstacle longer. If it had 3-4 more ropes, it might have been worth it.

The rope junction just needs to be made harder if it returns. Also does the Unstable Bridge seemed a bit easier. The denseness of the board seemed thicker and the platform was too close. I can continue and say all these obstacles that can be adjusted to be made harder but clear-able but with the new and improved course coming in about 3-4 months I'm not going to waste my time. It'll give me more reason to watch the Navi/History special to see the new obstacles before they are attempted.

Hopefully there's a Shin-Rope Junction next time.

A Rope Junction could work, but will it? You would need something more like ANW's Tarzan Swing, just with different spaced ropes and of course the jump in the middle.

.. I liked the rope... I seriously did.. And you couldn't cheat taking the first rope and ending up in the platform or even missing ropes.. you had to go and grab all of them in order. I think it was fine for what it was.

Ohhh I didn't know they made you grab them all. I thought you could just skip a bunch, kinda like how Levi just one-sided the Globes.
For a rope obstacle, they should have the Rope Maze instead of this... junction... thing.

wouldn't an ascending lamp grasper be tough, maybe kind of evil?

I think it was possible to skip from the 3rd rope to the final one if you went down and swung a lot from it.
With that being said, Rope Junction > Kudari Lamp Grasper
Lamp Grasper was hard to few competitors because it was like a ladder except they had to grab awkward globes. This obstacle was made easy when they put it into shin-sasuke. Why? It's downwards. You really don't have to bring your body up, or at least your arms up, to reach the next globe. You're going downwards.
Rope Junction changed that idea.
Also, ropes are harder to hang on to compared to globes imo.

The rope junction was a little harder than the Lamp Grasper, but not by a whole lot.
Plus it just looked ugly, and not creative at all.
I think the producers pretty much set Sasuke 24 up so that there would be a kanzenseiha, so they knew this obstacle wouldn't last for more than 1 tourney. Thus they didn't really have to try and think of something unique.

It's only the 2nd obstacle of 3rd Stage. I really don't remember the creators wanting to fail the competitors early in stage 3 with the first three obstacles. They just serve a function to drain your energy. Sure, sometimes it might eliminate a competitor (Miyazaki), but they were never meant to be a killer.

What about the body prop? That took out many many people, including all-stars.
That was the second obstacle.
And besides, the obstacle itself isn't too bad, but it was the only change to stage 3 after 2 people making it to the final and 3 people getting extremely close.
And look at it, it's so ugly.

What was the ugliest obstacle of all time?
The Dance Bridge.
