Don't try to do a full muscle up right away, like I said PROGRESS.
i can still barely do one, and I've been training my ace off.
It takes time, I learned about muscle ups voer a year ago and just did my first one like a week ago.
Start with pullups first, get 15 full pullups
(Arms fully extended, complete dead hang, no breaks, chin over bar)
if you can do that then you should have the strength to do the muscle up, then you ust need the technique.
Trust me, I know it's hard at first, but after you do your first muscle up it just gets easier and easier.

Well I can't get up past my shoulders (But thats not a muscle up, thats just a really good pullup), and I can barely get a pullup without a jump with that around the bar method all the guides tell you to use.

It takes time, keep trying.
Like I said, took me a long time till I did my first one.
And i went from 0-6 in like 3 days.
But after that I wans't able to do any, it just needs to be on a good day.
I think the day I got 6 I was extremely motivated after watching Sasuke 21, knowing I'd get an autograph from Nagano, and all my friends watching me in awe.
Gave me extra motivation ^

Well good news I did one, Bad news is I did it in the worst possible way probably, I gave myself a very small jump, pushed up, hung onto the bar with my armpits, got momentum (The weird looking way like Levi does the Salmon Ladder with) and got my hands onto the bar leaning on it, then pushed up. When I got into the possistion in the most apropriate irony, my MP3 player switched the song to Yagyu-Gaiden by MUSASHI (For those who don't know, the Stage Clear music they play on the japanese Sasuke broadcasts)

Don't feel bad at all, Rider. That's how I did my first one too. Now, I can do about 5 or 6 in a row in decent/ pretty good form.

Well I just did one today, I Did it without momentum too! OK, My legs were moving a bit while trying to get into position, but it wasn't momentum gaining at all.

What do you mean Rider? Dead hang? Did you go two arms at a time? Was there any breaks where you rested your arms on the bars?
Did you use your armpits this time?

Yeah I did, I just got up, got onto my armpits, got one arm up onto the bar, leaned on the bar a bit, then got my other arm up onto the bar, then pushed up. So its not exactly like a Muscle Up, but its close enough I'd count it.

Not realy, you can't count that a muscle up =p
It has to at least be a fluid motion, even 1 arm at a time wouldntbe considered a muscle up.
See my video of a muscle up? That's probably the worst you can do and still call it one. If I had done anything more to cheat it wouldn't count, the one in my vid hardly counts because my feet are touching, but its 2 arms at a time, and it's a fluid motion.

Was that how you pushed up or something? which vid are you talking about?
And I tried to do what I did before again today and was having problems with it, the only ones I got done today was a lower bar and that was with a jump (and I mean a jump). Although that probably counts more than what I did before or than what I did today doing a spider walk like push on the supports to the bar.

Uhm wow Rider... what video do you think I'm talking about?
The only muscle up video I have...
I said that' probably the worst muscle up you can do while still calling it a muscle up.

Well you did some in the Spider Walk video and at the end of the video you released after that. So was it the second one I mentioned or a new vid?

Wow Rider...
I'm gonna smite you because if I have to waste my time answering this.
I only have THREE videos.
You've sen them all.
A cliffhanger video I released back in april, a spider wlak vid, and a devil steps vid.
At the end of the spider wlak vid I ATTEMPT Muscle ups.
That doesn't count because I can't complete them... that was the whole point of me saying "i only did muscle ups in one video"
The whole argument was trying to figure out which muscle up video I was talking about, WHY ON EARTH would I refer to the video where I don't complete them when I was obviously referring to the time that I DID complete them.
So obviously I'm tlaking about my devil steps video, where I actually complete 2 muscle ups, and as I said before, that's the worst msucle up possible while still being able to call it a muscle up, anything less than that probably doesn't count, unless it's a dead hang and you go up one arm at a time WITHOUT using your body on the bars, just your arms, no assist from yoru body, then it's okay.
But from what you say you are geting ontop of the bar, which is a no no.

You need the strength to do it aswell, just because you ahve perfect technique doesn't mean you can get it.
Honestly, I havn't been able to do them for awhile, it was like a one time thing XD
