he's my favourite as well. im sure he can reach pretty far in stage 3, if not 4 (havent seen his finger/upper body strength in a while)
i think hes just having a good time and being a bit too careless. still <3 him

True. Yamamoto needs to be more cautious with his run, and somehow combine it with his speed.

I think he can make it to Stage 3. If he isn't careless on the 1st Stage, he'll have no trouble with time. In the 2nd Stage, the Downhill Jump shouldn't be hard for him as balance has never been a weakness. I think he can do the Salmon Ladder because he has proven that he can do it at Muscle Park. If he does make it to Stage 3, there is no way he's making it to the end, let alone past the Cliffhanger. He was never able to beat the Sasuke 9-17 version, what makes you think he can beat the Shin-Cliffhanger.

Failed it in 11 and 12, that's right, and he never even made it that far after that. But who knows, he could surprise us all again. Hey, maybe if he continues appearing in SASUKE-related festivals (a trend he only started THIS YEAR, no less) and Muscle Park, he could keep trying it and perhaps beat it. But then again, it's not like the real thing, right? The pressure is there in the Third Stage.

Sometimes the pressure can help. We've seen Nagano fail the Cliff Hanger several times at festivals/events, and pass it in the real thing. Then again, this may be a bad example, because he's probably just trained to the point where it's easy for him.
I think Shingo will get to the third stage again but never further. I don't think he has the time/dedication to train his upper body enough to give a decent shot at the third stage. I'll be happy if he makes it to the Cliff Hanger again.

I hope both him and takeda make it to the final stage, I want to know theres someone who can attempt all 3 versions of the Final Stage and all 21 versions of the course. Plus I want Takeda to finally make it to the final stage so hes not the only All-Star never to make it to the Final Stage.
But realisticly I doubt that would happen, I don't see Yamamoto getting farthur than the Spider Flip (thats making it there and not grabbing the other side) without alot of training, which I don't know if hes able to get that much training being the Area Manager of a Gas Station chain. Takeda might have a chance because it was always the last jump of the Pipe Slider that kept getting him.

I think what Shingo has to do is just do it. He tried not thinking, he tried thinking carefully. Neither have worked, so he just has to do it. He still has the natural talent AFAICT so there's nothing else left to do.
This game rewards execution, not state of mind or preparation.

So just go at it then? That might work. But wouldn't "just doing it" involve not thinking? I'm wondering.
But then again, all I care about is that he makes it next time.

I know this is a thread about Shingo, and I've already expressed my views. Shingo passes Stage 1 in 22, and (this part is new) can make it to the Cliffhanger at most.
But about Takeda (in response to Rider's hopes of him in the Final), there's a chance that, if he should make it to the Gliding Ring in the future, he may be able to finally stick the landing. Maybe he's just weak at the Pipe Slider jump, like the Octopus never passing the Quintuple Steps but making it on the Sextuple Steps.
Actually, now that I think of it, has Takeda ever managed to try the jump? Every time I remember, he just falls into the water before he tries to jump.

In Sasuke 12 and 17, he completely missed the final ledge when attempting the jump. In Sasuke 8, he just fell right before the end.

Oh okay, then I guess it's not that he hasn't tried, it's that he's awful at it.

exactly, now that it's the gliding ring, I think he can make it to the final stage... I mean, on his first attempt at the new stage 3 look how far he made it!
One or two more runs and he can finally do it I bet... Takeda seems to only get better, he's not even in his prime yet.
And if there's any rope in the final stage, it's going down if Takeda gets there.

That's for sure, because he can climb a rope like nobody's business. I just want to see Takeda get to the Final Stage one day. The good news is, he is the youngest of the All-Stars, but the bad news is, he ain't gettin' any younger. But I think he can do it someday.

I hope he does well next time around. Takeda hadn't beat the first stage since 17 and look how far he got in Sasuke 21. So it's possible that he can dowell, but he just seems prone to mental errors. But there's no doubt he has ability and experience on his side. Wrong actually he haddent passess it sinse sasuke 18 as he made it past stage 1 but fialed the salmon ladder:)
