Thanks for putting up the links so I remember what they looked like  I like Furutachi and Fumiyasu but chose Furutachi because he was relentless without being a royal "a".. Besides he's the one that a lot of people quote or even paraphrase even to today "Poseidon has risen from the depths to claim his reward!".. "Oh .. you shame yourself and your ancestors!".. "You failed so miserably the last time.. do you think you can do better today?".. LOL Classic. Equal opportunity motivator by ridicule  |

Furutachi. The guy was the most creative and entertaining announcer SASUKE has ever had. Announcers since then have read pretty much the same one line blurb on someone multiple times throughout their run. Furutachi always had something to say and always made everything different.

No contest! Furutachi!!! i was watching the old sasukes & loved this guy. On the JET broadcasts where they translated his words from Japanese, i can't stop laughing at his many many funny lines. He always had punchlines ready. His spot-on spontanteous humour was perfect. He was a live commentator at the sasukes but he was so funny that i half-suspected that he watched the show first, brainstormed a month for the jokes & then using technology "inserted" himself "live" onto the film. It could be a scam by TBS! i really wished he had done ALL the sasukes. I agree 100% with sconi on his creativity & entertaining humour |
