Was anyone else amazed at how fast Brian cleared most of the obstacles? I was surprised as I always thought he wasn't very fast in 20 or 21 and would probably just time out in 23. Here, he never stopped moving until the Slider Jump and cleared with the 4th best time.
Anyone else impressed with his 1st Stage run?

It was very impressive. Maybe the somewhat leniat time limit was a factor.
But that same lack of speed reapperaed in Stage Two.

I was really suprised because the only people that got faster times than him were Levi (who everyone already knew that would happen), Kongu (Again most of the time been very quick), and Jun Sato (was a suprise but he was number 1 qualifier in the trails). I ws suprised he beat the Slider Jump (barely).

He was incredibly fast, in fact the very end of his run (the nets at the end) hurt his time, up until the Slider Jump he was AFAIK as fast as Levi.

I was very impressed as well. He even flew through the Spider Walk portion of the Jumping Spider about as fast as Nagano. If I recall correctly, he used to struggle on that section a bit and take it pretty slow. However, this time he breezed through the first stage.

I thought that TBS only showed his run starting at him completing the Slider Jump. How would you guys know how he did on the rest of his Stage 1 run?

Being sober probably helped a bit as well, haha. But yea he smoked it. At least he keeps making progression each time he goes!

hah the way he said that he goes farther every time he comes seemed very bitter sweet to him.

It must've been the shoes. Yeah a few of us brought those Five Fingers to the tryouts, they work great for the spider walk!
