holy cow...I know there's a reason why they're called UNCLI but...this is insane.

Which is wh people like Yuuji will have a hard time ever failing stage 3 granted they get there.
But they should do more training for stages 1 and 4. Obviously Yuuji wasn't up for the task of the final rope climb, and every other UNCL couldn't pass stage 1.

I often ask myself how people forget about stages one and two.

Ditto. Probably because they think "well stage 3 is the hardest so I should train for it", forgettin that if they don't pass stage 1 and 2 they won't even reach it. No matter how they could be simple (and and they aren't), you must pass them to rech the third.

W...t...F!? Repeated forward and BACKWARD Shin-Cliff Hanger?! That's ridiculous!
Yeah, unlike a lot of people (or so I assume, watching some really strong competitors fail Stage 1), I train ensuring that I can do evry obstacle, in Stage 1, right the way through Stage 3. Granted I can't yet, but at least I remember to take them ALL into consideration.
Back on topic: I really, really wish I was that good lol

These guys must have finger muscles as big as their biceps.

I'm the exact opposite, a lot of training is focused on stage 1. Because by beating stage 1 hopefully I can be invited back unlike the UNCL members. If i were to get multiple chances the obviously I would start working more on stage 3 and 4. But there is no point if i can't even get that far.

If I knew I was going to be on Sasuke, I'd train for Stage 1 ONLY.
Passing Stage 1 and failing on the bottom rung of the Salmon Ladder is much better than failing Stage 1 but having the ability to pass the Second Stage.
Because these days, you have to put in a performance that sets you apart from the rest (i.e. making it to the Second Stage.)
That's why these videos of the UNCLI's annoy me. You think they can beat the whole thing but they never deliver when it counts.

It'd probably be wiser to train for everything.

LOL this is an older video In fact a few people kept saying "I saw it first!!!" .. lol Yeah Ryo is a sweetie Very competitive.. in fact the rest of the Cliffers are all training like crazy trying to get ready for Sasuke 24 since Sasuke 23 trials destroyed them all (Yuuji was an automatic invite though). They seem to be competing with each other to push themselves more. They have been doing a lot of stuff that they all failed in trials... there was a grip test that most of everyone failed since they were all training for other things. Each time they go to trials they change everything on them so they are doing everything they can to train like hell in everything they can get their hands on. For the the hardest part is GETTING to Sasuke.

Yeah.. between that and the crosshanded video Ryo had was after meeting with Kongo back in August. They've been training that together for a while now it seemed.

I don't think the grip you get from hanging from a ledge and the grip you get from holding onto a bar like in the trials necessarily crosses over. Just saying.

Teheheh Well the point I was making is that they are training for the curveballs that M9 keeps throwing at them ahahahhaha I feel bad for them because they have been used a lot by M9 and they never give them any kind of props. Quite frankly every time they have a guest or someone of importance coming to Japan they call on them to take them around Muscle Park and show them around the obstacles. Rarely do you see them on TV though and was kinda shocked they showed it in G4 when Brett was around. I wish they would just invite them because they keep winning all the challenges in Muscle Park among other things. Even when Yuuji got the pass from Bug in Miki last year .. it was Keita who was the first to beat the All-Stars but he was just slightly slower than Yuuji so he got the nod.

i repeat what i said in another thread:- this is absurb! he is making it look too easy Why do i get the feeling that the organisers are trying their best to keep UNCLI guys out of sasuke? i hope i am just over suspicious...are they just afraid that these guys just come & pawn the course ( especially stage 3 ) ... making M9 look stupid? i think i heard Urushihara gave a thumbs up & said "very easy!" after destroying shin-cliff in 22. Imagine having all 5 of them doing the same & monster9 will be very embarassed! Ok, no basis here so i hope i am wrong LOL

#2 (Ryo) #3 (Yuuji) and #4 (Keita) are a stronger and in better shape than #1 (Matsuda) and all of them combined are better than #5 (Yamamoto) Ryo actually got far in his only Sasuke appearance (21) getting whiplash on the Flying Chute. Keita always seems to fail RIGHT at the end of Sasuke Trials.. Gah.. I really want to see him try it once. We know Yuuji's record so far now. Matsuda wasn't terrible either but not getting past the wall once and not getting to the wall once isn't exactly a spectacular appearance. He didn't bother even applying this time since he says he's out of competition shape. Hope he gets his act together and again. Yamamoto needs a brain transplant.. I haven't seen someone so downright negative in attitude at that age for along time.. then again.. he still has some growing up to do.

Matsuda isnt in shape? yamamoto is negative? #1 has already said he isn't in shape. He lost trials for 23 because he really just was resting on his laurels and didn't train sufficiently for it. 24 came out of nowhere and figured he wouldn't embarrass himself by sending an application when he knew he wasn't in shape. #5 .. reading his blog irritates me sometimes.. LOL He's still a high schooler so I guess I get the emo moody crap of feeling horrible when his friends are better.. so yeah.. I'm not a Keitaro Yamamoto fan.
