I can't believe there isn't a thread on this guy.
Anyways, alot of forum members, including me, thought that because of his old age he wouldn't pass the First or Second Stage, let alone the Shin Cliff Hanger.
He showed all of us that he is a major threat to the course. He tied with Takeda! He could have beatan the Third Stage if it wasn't for a very poor jump (His leg went off the side of the Spider Flip).
Can he repeat his perfomance? What do you think?

I think Okuyama loves to prove me wrong.
"No one can fail the stick slider!" Okuyama fails stickslider
"The Spider Flip jump is unfailable!" Okuyama fails the spider flip.
The dude hates me i swear! but i think he he gets back to the second stage he is a legit treat to the course.

Yeah, he is a major threat, arguably more so then Lee. He's been consistent lately, making it to the 2nd Stage three out of the last four tournaments, and the Third Stage two of the times... If he keeps on doing what he's doing (which is obviously working for him, whatever it is), I wouldn't be surprised if he made it to the Gliding Ring next time around. That is, unless he screws up and fails something before then.

Does Okuyama even have a full-time job anymore or is he becoming as devoted to Sasuke as much as Katsumi Yamada? Sorry, don't really know much about Okuyama's current career since G4 always refers to him as a FORMER track star.

I quite like him. He seems so serious while competing...he really does his best, but without screwing up for the pressure.

Hes a fitness instructor at a gym. he was never really a "star" he ran a 200M in the 1991 World Track and Field games. He placed 6th or 7th. TBS always gets the lane wrong everyother time.
