I don't even understand how Ryo does that showing off version of the technique Kenji used in that second video. I tried that on my small scale replica of the current cliffhanger. It hurts my wrist so bad. It requires a good amount of wrist flexibility. Usually when I train for the cliffhanger, I use the reaching technique at least once. I like it more than the jumping one, because there is less chance that you can mess up the gap IMO. It is uncomfortable on the shoulders though. www.youtube.com/user/FinSasuke#play/uploads/2/LQLy8YA8SIM12 year old pulling a Ryo I think I'm gonna go sit in a corner and cry myself to sleep right now haha. Damn, that kids only 12, and he's a beast. Hopefully one day I can grow up to be as good as him...oh wait .

I get more angry every time I watch that video, then I get motivated. So I go outside to try my cliff-hanger and do some of the things he does, then fail hard, then get angry again.

No, I mean a lot of people here are saying, "Oh, well, he's lighter..." and stuff like that, trying to discredit what he's done.
