OK, without building your own, how do you practice this toughest of all obstacles at the end of stage 3?

BUild your own... lol seriously, how else are you gonna replicate it? You gotta find some kind of strong material ring, find a pole and practice.

Well I don't have the space or money to build one, Which is why I'm asking.

All you need is a strong ring shaped object, the find a pole at the park or something.
You don't really have to buy anything...

Well where would I find a strong ring shaped object and how would I get it onto the pole without having to cut it which would make it fall off.

Just do the pipe slider with a gap as big as the final ring

the Gliding Ring is no where close to the Pipe Slider. Its more the moving it than the jump I'm thinking of.

you would need a good setup, go to a home depot and ask for the materials. Im sure they can shape a metal bar for you. you would need to get some "overall" dimensions for the sliding ring and grease the bar guiding you down. Quite a project but very doable.

I didn't say I couldn't do it, But I'm still missing the space and the time.

well the only reason i say pipe slider, with a gap that wide, is because the gliding ring is suppose to lock in place at the very end, but still, yeah the moving is a key factor.

I was more worried about the moving than the jump, if theres a lock I'm not worried about the jump.

Try buying a small hula hoop and cut it open. Use a lighter to weld it together and you should be good.

A hula hoop probably won't support your weight, though.
Couldn't an aluminum sheet be malleable enough to arc around without too much hassle?

I figured out the trick to practice, the same thing I've been using for pullups and some Salmon Ladder (not my main salmon ladder), small PVC on punching bag chains, hang onto that and hop it down, then swing, it has the perfect unsteadyness to be like the Gliding Ring. And heres a vid of how its done www.veoh.com/videos/v16408293HZ4B99tG

Yeha, but the grip for that is different, unless it's shaped like a ring, I can't watch the vid at school.

The grip is this But the hopping and the swinging part is right, its better than nothing.
