No way...are you that crazy guy that used to post on theguy saying Yamada and Shingo failed on purpose to get attention? Ohh I get your logic. The producers gave him a second chance so Nagano returned the favor by not winning...WHAT?

Personally I don't see it anymore than trolling and considering there is already a Nagano thread it's pretty much pointless.

I don't mind if people believe me, as long as it wasn't me (which it isn't, Yamada just flat out sucks because he's old and Shingo just keeps screwing up under pressure). And you can go ahead and lock the topic, I figured I'd just throw out the possibility.

If I had to run the first stage twice and I ended up making the final stage, no way I'd throw it away on purpose.

I do think had he not ran stage 1 twice he would have probably won but that extra run just brought fatigue on sooner in those crucial final secondsto just miss out on the button!

Didn't he run the first stage twice in 17? That one turned out ok.... He didn't run the whole thing.. he only got to the rolling log when it decided to embed itself to the track. This was one was basically the whole course twice.

I don't think redoing the first stage affected him that much. He was fine throughout the other stages.
I think he ran out of time because he climbed the ladder slowly.

I think rerunning first stage did affect him, but not only phisically. I though this when I saw his face while pulling himself oh the floor . He did try to reach the buzzer with his hand, but not with so much motivation, more like "Even if I'm out...well, I'm supposed to do this". I think he knew he was too much fatigued to achieve kanzenseiha when he started climbing the ladder, so he simply wanted to demonstrarte to everyone that he's still n.1. I think he could go faster on the ladder but he didn't cause he didn't want to crap out on the rope. So yes, and no. He didn't fail on purpose, but he wasn't enough motivated. Remember that in 17 he had the 11-13 fails (especially 12) to give him some more extra determination. Btw, what's this rolling log story?

I still believe that nagano is much faster on the spider climb. He's really good at that, so perhaps thats the reason why he achieved kanzenseiha back then when it was spider climb instead of ladder.
