Look at the pattern of Salmon Ladder clears:
18- 3/6 pretty darn good for the first tournament with the obstacle 19- 0/2 disaster 20- 3/3 no problem 21- 4/9 big problem 22- 5/5 easy again 23- 6-8?/16 problems again
Basically the pattern is pass-fail back and forth. There really isn't any reason why, it's just interesting.

The trial guys, and maguro man, so that's 5.
7 passed stage 2, and we had 1 metal spin failure.
Then 3 fell on the unstable bridge.
That's 16.
5 failed salmon ladder out of 16, that's not too bad actually considering the only people who lost were noobs...

Don't reply with a sarcastic question. You know damn well what I meant.

Chill guys.
Nonetheless, it just proves that the Salmon Ladder is still a definitive stage 2 obstacle. It's just hard enough to mess over anyone without body strength, and slow down most who can pass it.
That's its intention, just like the other obstacles "Unbalanced bridge" and "Wall Lift". Slow them down, so they can only dominate if they've either practiced or have the natural ability to defeat it quickly.

The Salmon Ladder is definitely a "Equalizer" obstacle still, especially considering that they did lower the time limit for Stage 2, so while we've had a few that were knocked out by it in this tournament, it did do it's job of slowing nearly everyone down on it. It still takes some over 10-15 seconds to clear it, that's a good portion of time lost just on one obstacle when you still have others that either A) you haven't done or B) you're nervous about doing.
