ok I think I figured it out! It looks like they left the net height alone, but they made the gap smaller, and made the bar the net mounts on more bouncey making it mare shock absorbing (softer landing)

That's what I had heard.. the fact that it was closer. I wasn't sure that they changed the height. Thanks for the pictures though since it is pretty conclusive that way. Playing with angles is a pain in the nards.. so seeing the rigging actually closer is definitely clear no matter what angle you are staring at.
Agreed on the Disclaimer as well. This time there was no "surprise" on the obstacles so people had time to train and get over the fear of the new obstacle.
