I'm not even gonna say anything. I'd like to hear from you, the viewer and what impression you got after seeing it. This place was the main inspiration for making this. Headphones recommended.

I liked it.. but it would have been a little easier cut up into different ones. For me it was a bit long.

but of course it would have been a little easier cut up into different ones. For me it was a bit long. The length, we'll get to that soon, when you mean this could be several different previews, you're right! and sometimes I like mixed feelings regarding my projects

Very nice. The only part that sort of dragged on for me was that middle section where you showed everyone failed. Other than that, really good. Also, thanks for putting me in your video!

Just when I think you can't top your last Sasuke-related vid, you go ahead and do it anyway. Fantasic editing, and your music choices always makes me want to illega-I mean buy it somewhere or YouTube it. I have to agree with scnoi a bit and say the part with everyone failing, while dramatic, a slight bit tedious, but you picked up the pace nicely. Another small gripe was the damn constant blinking in and out of those certain scenes like Bunpei passing in 21 or Nagano's introduction. Made my eyes hurt a bit lol. One last gripe was noticed you used a lot of 21 and 22. Saw some 18-20, but not much, although that probably was just because of you have more certain episodes available than others, which is understandable. Then again I didn't see 18-20 in the original broadcast so... Overall, fantastic, my favorite Sasuke video yet and imo your best Sasuke work yet.

Let's get the weirdest part out of the way. I find it funny that it got finished and uploaded on 9/11 yesterday, not only that but the picture frame that I took of my self here had the number 420 (Hitler's birthday) next to my post count. ;D I ended up with more than a couple ideas for this project, and decided to use all of them. In the middle of the feature, you may notice that the video could appropriately end at a few points in the middle of the video, but it keeps going and I wanted that affect. There's a few different sequences here typically made to go with the songs chosen. First is "The Beginning" coupled with "On/Off" both are tracks I had that resemble changing a channel or messing with a radio + chaos. I wanted to do something scary to open. the "Superheroes" sequence is the second. Originally meant to be the ending track of the video, it does sound like it could be pretty conclusive. It has a fast ending and winds down to a quick fade out. I had to use the track because of its good feelings and how it fit with making the sequence be full circle. That means this project wasn't just about the show's announcement and the competitors' journey, this was about the fans too and the daily discussion. Next, you always have to have a moment showing the competitors do the course. This was exciting to do. Sequence was meant to be just "Playing with lightning" as the track, but was made into a combination of "Yagyu Gaiden" mixed with lightning. I adjusted the speeds of Gaiden to fit the beat of lightning and there you have somewhat of a remix of the Sasuke victory theme. This also plays on a metaphor I came up with later. Struck by lightning, and then Takeda hits Nagano on the back, it's what calms his nerves. But also when Yoshihiro Minami makes the second attempt at the JS. I made it into, well, people doing well on the course means they might have gotten struck by lightning, their nerves calmed (not just being hit on the back.) "Mission Failed" sequence. Surprisingly, I in no way chose this song for the slow motion sequence because of its title. It's just a dark soothing piece from a GOOD video game. First, if I could manage it, I took a movie clip from "Tremors" (starring Kevin Bacon) and wanted a sound effect to go with the video somehow. It is a sound effect that is heard whenever the monsters in the film show up underground, it sounds like a combination of a sprinkler and a creature flapping its wings (you know the sound.) I wanted it to resemble the danger and fear of hitting the water, giving the surface a kind of "villian theme." Just before I was about the finish the video, there are strange mumbling and deep voice grunting in the "Mission Failed" track. "Hang on a second here, the water could have a voice. Like being digested, yeah, like the digest of the Rokudantobi steps, the digest of the Jumping spider. I could use the grunts as if the competitors are being swallowed or digested by the water!" That's kind of what I was thinking at the time of post production lol. So with those two, I managed to make a monster out of the water. Mission failed like a lot of the songs in this were so long that when I cut them down to about a 3rd or 4th of their length, they seem short to me but ended up being still long to certain viewers I presume. Listening to daft punk recently had me listening to one of their self titled songs excessively for about a week, I would listen, and I would listen again. I ended up making "Human After All" the last sequence and the softness of the previous sequence would make you unprepared for this one's volume. If any song can give you a vision of how you would edit Sasuke footage along with its tempo, Use It! That was the case here, and yet another light bulb went off. Levi's words at the end of Sasuke 20, you know what it is. Human potential, human, human, human, "I don't know what I'm onto here, I just know it's something I have to do." That basically explains the title. What you see in the video after Levi's words and the Human x4 starts up, is the mental picture I got in my brain when I heard the song during the drafting of ideas for this video. The entire end sequence and most of the project it self I decided very early on that it was a feature to be shot in black and white. Because I am using, and this is all, footage we've all seen before, so you can't just use the footage, you need to add a twist and extra beauty. It's interesting seeing a shot in black and white that you're so used to seeing in full color. Also be it color quality and affects to change the way it's seen. When I say shooting, I know the events were already recorded up to a year or two ago, but statistically I have to reshoot in a sense. I have to go through every tournament with several revisits from time to time and capture all the footage I need, so it's like shooting all over again. - - - - - - There you have it. Overall, it's the Sasuke video I've always wanted, the most style, most up to date, focusing on every level of the event and edited like no other. Your comments are what make this video worth making. Every viewer's input fills the creator with savor for reward. Picture of time line

Despite me wanting to do something similar with videos, I'd go crazy lol. Especially since it's the beginning of the school year. That must take hella patience and time, but it's definitely worth it in the end. That timeline looks insane. I forgot to mention my favorite audios were Human After All (can't get that song out of my head now), the Lightning/Yagyu-Gaiden remix, and somewhat ironically the "monster water" effect.

Just when I think you can't top your last Sasuke-related vid, you go ahead and do it anyway. Yay! Thanks Another small gripe was the damn constant blinking in and out of those certain scenes like Bunpei passing in 21 or Nagano's introduction. Made my eyes hurt a bit lol. Maybe turn on some lights? lol oh come off it. One last gripe was noticed you used a lot of 21 and 22. Saw some 18-20, but not much, although that probably was just because of you have more certain episodes available than others, which is understandable. Then again I didn't see 18-20 in the original broadcast so... We finally have a Sasuke 18 JET broadcast, but the file type is Divx and the capturing program I use doesn't work on it. With lack of 18 footage, and the quality on the Sasuke 20 broadcast being really murky, I used little of 20. But look, I used a lot of 19, 21 and 22 (this one being of the Highest quality.) Another challenge all the while was getting footage of just about every well known Sasuke competitor so there wouldn't be any gripes about that. But this video still has original broadcast footage from every Shin-Tournament. Quick question: When editing program did you use and is it easy to figure out? I found Adobe Premiere Elements 4.0 on amazon for fifty dollars. Of all the Final cut pros and two hundred dollar editing softwares, I remember in 2006 thinking I would have to save up just to afford video editing. Elements 4 is easy to use, filled with options and special functions and an uploader. Just about everything that you would find useful in a 300 dollar editing program is also in APE4. I will say that it may take you a long time to discover certain functions, like the time stretch tool, volume fades and switching from scene line to time line. Elements is cheap due to its small tendency to crash, you may lose work sometimes but I don't think it's the only editor to have trouble saving. This doesn't happen a lot, but for this cheap a price, it's by far worth it.

I loved it!!!!! Amazing choice of clips, music, and editing What Levi said in his interview about it being what "all of us can do" was the greatest thing ever said so far, IMO. Its not about America vs Japan, its about all "HUMANS" uniting as one for the ultimate goal. BTW: Sorry it took so long for me to join up here. The Sasuke 23 and Kunoichi 8 info is what finally got me on, haha
