A few months ago, I was looking at G4's youtube videos (Sasuke). Lance Tarvend was one of the competitors in the video. I remember that one of the comments said that Lance had to attempts on Sasuke 19's first stage.
It said on his attempt he actually cleared the first stage, but did the Half Pipe Attack wrong and was given another try. On his second attempt he failed the Jumping Spider.
Does anyone know if this was true?

That was an old rumor and turned out that most of it was false. Yes, he had two attempts, however, that was in SASUKE 18, not 19. He technically got disqualified on the Jumping Spider and eventually timed out at the Great Wall. He was the first person to actually make the Spider Walk portion, so if he went out of bounds, it is understandable. On his second attempt, he failed the Log Grip, which was digested. Only his second run was ever broadcast.
In 19, he only had one, the one that was shown.

Do we know what he did wrong on the Jumping Spider? Seems like he just touched a support bar or something.

He probably climbed the wrong way. Even Shingo did it, if I'm not mistaken.
