Today I did 3 different kinds of Salmon Ladder training. (Although none had an actual Salmon Ladder XD)
OK, I was walking today and I found a bar, it looks like it used to be the handle of some kind of rake or broom (Can't tell if it was metal or plastic though) or something here the end was broken off, But it was sturdy enough to hold my weight and have some additional force.
So I decided to put it on the Zipline thingy at the playground right by there (All the pics I have of that playground are old from before it was open XD) and to do the Slider Jump with an actual bar for grip (still easy). So I decided to stick it inside a few of the cornered monkey bars to do the Pipe Slider, wasn't going anywhere with that because the corner of the bars that it didn't fit into were blocking it so I decided to do a Salmon Ladder where I just went up and hung on coming down, it was easy except for the watching out to not hit my head on the middle bar holding it up so that one I didn't get very high (by choice).
Later after I had left the playground going farther away I decided to take a longer way to where I was going just because of this walk by a playground which has exercise stuff (the stuff there is not in the best shape but still usable) and decided to use these ring things held up by chains for a salmon ladder, This time I got up all the way but it felt kind of weird having to hold them sideways (before you say use the bar, these two places were a distance apart and I'm not carrying a bar around the city).
And further down on that on the pullup bar things I did two muscle-ups in a row, apparently the trick is do a pullup before getting your momentum.
On my way back home I was back at the playground again, and the bar was still there and I had another idea, put two of the swings over the top twice and stick the bar through that triangle part between the chains and the seat and do a salmon ladder like that, since there was a bar, weight and space to get height this had to be the most realistic. And I did it right a couple of times, 5 normal jumps and two big jumps (I could have just done a small jump like the normal jump to the Stick Slider but why not train effectively), then I held on for a second then swung a bit and did a jump off like the Gliding Ring.
So are those effective for Salmon Ladder training?
