And more? Maybe!
~~~~~~
American Ninja Challenge 3
Meh. I'll go out on a limb and say Rick, Joe, and Blackie Chan.
~~~~~~
Stage One
October 1, 2008! (It's held back because of the Olympics.) 100 people line up to fall flat on their faces!
Obstacles:
Septuple Step (Sextuple Step but with 7)
Log Grip
Some sort of bridge obstacle
Jumping Spider
Half Pipe Attack made easier
Warped Wall
Flying Chute (Sasuke 19 edition)
Tarzan Rope
Rope Ladder
125 seconds
Okay, let's start with the Americans.
G4 host Kevin - Fail Log Grip
G4 host Olivia - Slips on first step of first obstacle.
Levi - Destroys the First Stage. AGAIN.
Hmmm... You forum guys may kill me for this.
Rick - Fail Half Pipe Attack
Joe - Fail Half Pipe Attack
Blackie Chan (sorry, I forget your name) - Fail Flying Chute in a Brian Orosco way
Only Levi makes it! Although I haven't seen much of Rick or Joe so it's all a complete guess!
Paul Terek (remember him?!) - Fail Jumping Spider
All-Stars! Plus Nagasaki!
Shiratori - My sleeper pick for the first stage CLEAR!
Yamamoto - Out of time!
Takeda - Best time CLEAR!
Yamada - Fail Log Grip
Akiyama if he goes - Fail Warped Wall
Nagano - My sleeper pick to fail, but why not... CLEAR! With 2 seconds left!
Shunsuke Nagasaki - Let's see... he's too tall to fail the Wall, too good at the trampoline... too fast... ugh. CLEAR!
Takamasa Nagasaki - Much less luck! Fails bridge thingy! Crowd gasps!
Koji Yamada - As a side note, he's only failed the First Stage once. CLEAR!
Yuji Washimi - Fail Flying Chute with not enough time
Not as good people!
Yasuo Aoki - Fail, fourth step (new personal best!)
Octopus - Fail, fifth step
Hang Glider - Fail, fifth step
Okuyama - Messes up somewhere
Hiromichi Sato - Fail Log Grip
One random dude in the first 50 challengers - CLEAR!
Kenji Takahashi - Fail Jumping Spider
Daisuke Miyazaki - Fail Half Pipe Attack
Wakky - doesn't show up
Shinji Kobayashi - Time up! Barely!
That one dude from the 1st tournament - Fail Warped Wall
So here's a recap:
Levi, Shiratori, Takeda, Nagano, S. Nagasaki, Koji, random dude
That's 7, which is stretching it. A LOT.
~~~~~~
Stage Two
Obstacles are the same; 75 second time limit
First up - Random dude!
Fail Salmon Ladder
Koji Yamada
Loses most of his time on the Salmon Ladder, clears, and runs out on the monkey bars
Bunpei Shiratori
Fail Salmon Ladder
Rest CLEAR!
~~~~~~
Stage Three
We're down to Shunsuke, Levi, Nagano, and Takeda. And we'll start with...
Levi!
The only reason he failed the Cliff Hanger was because he was in a hurry, didn't get his hands set up at the top of the ledge, and his second hand down pulled his first hand off. He learns his mistakes and advances to the Spider Flip, where - after being absolutely spent - falls just short.
Shunsuke!
Struggles on the Descending Globe Grasp and Devil Steps, then finally hits the wall on the Cliff Hanger.
Takeda!
Breezes - until the Cliff Hanger. He clears the jump for about half of a second, then his arms give out.
Nagano!
Last hope! Breezes across the Cliff Hanger! Struggles on the Ascending Climb but makes it to the Final Ring. The gap looks just a little longer than the Circle Slider from 17 - which Nagano cleared with ease. Nagano barely hangs on! CLEAR!
~~~~~~
Final Stage
Nagano takes on the Final Stage! I believe it's 10m ladder, 12.5m rope, so let's just say 35 seconds. Regardless, Nagano comes up a few meters short.
~~~~~~
Aftermath
In Sasuke 22, 10 people clear, Nagano makes it to the final stage again and fails by 1/2 of a second.
Takeda decides to retire after 23, so he finally makes it to the final stage but doesn't come close. In that tournament, Koji Yamada finally passes the Salmon Ladder, leaving him in the clear to earn Total Victory in Sasuke 27.
That's my thoughts, anyway.
