Since this is the training section, I think this will be a fair question. How do you all train? I think its fair to assume that given Sasuke/Ninja Warrior's nature, bodyweight training is fairly common. I mean, who couldn't use 1 more pullup/chinup.
But what else do you guys do? What do you do for cardio? Running? Circuit training? Some type of martial arts? Do you lift weights or not? How do you judge if you've made any progress?
Me, I just like to lift heavy stuff, well, at least heavy for me. lol. I think the only time I do anything that resembles the traditional bodyweight type exercises that y'all probably think about would be the one day a week I do heavy weighted pullups and the rare times I do weighted dips.
I rarely go above 5 reps on my main sets, but go higher reps on accessory movements. If anyone saw the video I posted, its easy to see that I'm fresh for the 1st 5 and then I start to falter soon after (at least when it comes to weighted exercises, with just my BW I can do a lot).
For grip, I do a variety of things. Besides extensor work, I train every type of grip strength; crush, pinch, open hand, and support.
So what about you? What do you guys do?

Bodyweight training is fine and all, but a majority of people don't know how to strength train with it. It's tricky.
Cardiovascular endurance is best gained with High Intensity Interval Training, so I do that. I also lift weights and I circuit train while lifting, but my heart rate rarely rises from that. I judge progress from how much I feel like I'm dying (cardio) or how heavy the weight I'm lifting is (lifting).
And, of course, the most important training of all, I practice on my obstacles.
