Yeah, it bugged me how pretty much for every other person in their late 30s early 40s they try to talk up how they can still compete with the young guys...yet for Campbell's run they constantly were saying how he's getting old and the new guys are so great blah blah blah. If they wanted to be so disrespectful and try to get people to forget about him...WHY SHOW HIS RUN AT ALL?? Yeah. It pissed me off how during Jon Stewart's run they were like, "Campbell's about to be beaten by a 54-year-old man.". I mean, I'm happy for Jon, but that's no reason to spit on David like that.

David's fail pretty much would be something SHINGO would do except not so simple. Feel sorry for him... Where and how did he fail? I missed it.

As for this season, I'm very much a fan of The Clacker. I also like the Sonic Curve. I think the Coin Flip might be the best balance obstacle they had. I like the Sonic Curve as well. It forces the competitor to run up, unlike the HPA where they can just run on the bottom.

Not including ones from Sasuke, but you got the Body Prop there? For favorite, FMB, but for most original, probably the Invisible Ladder. The FMB is so simple yet so difficult...I love it.

The Wedge, i like it, i don't know why ate so many competitor, it looks like easy just like early Pipe Slider. I agree.

The Wedge looks like something you would put at the end of Stage 3 because it's basically a Flying Bar on a Pipe Slider-esque track. But it will never be as good as Tick Tock... I agree.

Oh yeah. I like that obstacle, but it was called the Helix Hang this year for some reason...

Not sure why, but I'm not a fan of the Circuit Board. It might just be my annoyance with the fact that ANW is 95% Upper Body/Grip Strength. I went with the Double Tilt Ladder, which is probably my Favorite ANW original obstacle.

There's probably already a thread for this, but I thought it would be interesting to hear everyone's favorite obstacle in ANW, not including ones from SASUKE.

I guess it depends on who is the Top 10 Americans. My guess would be: Brent Steffensen (Has Never Failed Stage 1) Drew Dreschel (Already has experience on SASUKE) Geoff Britten ...Isaac Caldiero Joe Moravsky? (Basically the Takeda of ANW, not sure how he'd do on UCCH) David Campbell? (Could do well if he gets past Stage 1) James McGrath? Travis Rosen? (Never failed Stage 1) Paul Kasemir? (Excellent on Stage 1, could easily defeat Stage 2.)

Kudos to him for nailing the proper CCH transition. Is any technique improper if it is within the rules? There really is no "proper" technique on this version. Although, Joe did, in fact, state he felt the Crazy-transititon was the correct way to do it, and stating that he thought the turn-around before the jump was the easy way out. I agree with him completely, especially considering the 4cm Cliffhanger nightmare. ANW talks about the competitors making the UCH look easy, when it really isn't. But tbf, it is KIND OF easy (relatively speaking). The "Crazy Cliffhanger" in Houston last year, was an absolute joke. I think I could do that, tbh.

True. But it was translated to the Quintuple Steps in the Ninja Warrior dub, despite there only 4 steps. (Quintuple means 5) Yes Godantobi means 5 Step Jumps too, that's where "Quintuple Steps" comes from, I was referring to the fact Godantobi are just 4 small hard solid steps close together and the jump to the platform and Quad Steps are much bigger steps with a different material, and the ANW version you just step off onto the platform and the Sasuke 32 Quad Steps you go to the Rolling Hill for the dismount and not the old angled platform at the end of the obstacle. Godantobi/Quintuple Steps and Quad Steps are similar obstacles yes, but they're two completely different obstacles Right.

Masaharu Yanagawa managed to roll it backwards and make it attack the Quad Steps in SASUKE 7. Actually in 7 it was the Maruta Nobori, the Godantobi were introduced in Sasuke 8, and the Godantobi and Quad Steps are two similar but very different obstacles True. But it was translated to the Quintuple Steps in the Ninja Warrior dub, despite there only 4 steps. (Quintuple means 5)

This was first renewal tournament where American went furthest. Incorrect. Levi Meeuenberg in SASUKE 20. EDIT: My bad, I didn't read that correctly.

Wow. I'm 5'3", 113 pounds. And here I am at 6'2", 150 lbs. I would look really odd on the Sasuke course but at the same time I'd have some advantages. Right. I don't worry about my height, especially since all of the Grand Champions are under 5'4"

6 ft, which is massive for the Japanese course. Wow. I'm 5'3", 113 pounds.

I'm really bad at the trampoline obstacles. Not because I suck on the trampoline, but it's grabbing and holding on to whatever I'm jumping to. It's not even bad grip strength, I'm pretty sure it's mostly my tiny baby hands. Even when my grip strength was at its absolute peak I couldn't do it - and that's when I could do the cliffhanger with a weighted vest on for days. But with this one, I'm pretty sure I could. A bar is not as difficult as a rope, and it being sized for Japanese competitors would make it quite easy for someone my size. How tall are you?

Realistically, I think I would/could make it to the Flying Bar, I've just never had the precision to land on the short ledge. But if the time limit on Stage 2 wasn't so lenient, I'm pretty sure I'd time out on the Wall lift. My upper body isn't the greatest. All of my strength is really in my lower body and forearms. And I actually swim competitively, so I don't think I'd have much trouble with the Backstream.

Now, this might sound crazy, (pun intended) or it may sound like a no-brainer. But this is a thread to discuss whether or not the new UCCH is harder or not, or to just discuss it in general. Keep in mind, I understand it doesn't really matter, but it's fun to discuss and share your opinion. Another thing, I'm talking about the difficulty of ONLY the (U)CCH. Not about how the competitor goes right into the VL, or the obstacles before it. I, personally, think the Crazy Cliffhanger is harder, as far as surviving it goes. But I think the Ultra Crazy Cliffhanger is more difficult in the aspect of tiring out. It was pretty obvious the gaps were smaller in SASUKE 32 when Drew made both transitions. But be sure to let me know your opinions!

If Nagano makes it to the 3rd stage, he will be the last man, that's almost sure. If Nagano makes it to the Third Stage, and no one beats it, then it's a guarantee. But I wouldn't hold my breath.
