too wet to continue its a good drama tournament this but the results are taking any suspense out the latter stages for me anyone who could threaten the new 3rd Stage is gone seemingly..... I wouldn't say that, Drew, Anastase and Shunsuke are all well-established, and we still have potential Asa, Tomo and Kanno.

Oh that poor bastard who failed the Tarzan Swing. What a dope. I tuned in with Brent Stefferson's clear. Anything notable happen before that? Hioki fell, SEGA Yamada Gundam had a tight time out. Apart from that, not a lot?

So, we're into the last 9 with 4 clears. Anyone want to place bets?

Ah. That's grand! Just wanted to check it wasn't my internet/setup, mostly because I don't remember 31 being this blocky. Seems chat is hostile and it's spilling to my inbox as well (I'm watching without chat) so trying to keep the tech issues away from the discussion thread. I didn't mean to direct it to anyone in particular. Seems this year is bad with the complaints about the free stream and abusing the mods who work hard to do this. The problem is completely out of their control but that doesn't stop people from complaining about the free stream. Understandable. Its a shame that there are problems with the source this time, although I imagine its crystal clear compared to the keyhole days! In other news holy crap the ladies were cut badly, and Brent is our first clear!

The source is the issue. Considering that they pay for this and no one here does it's best to ignore the "quality" of the free stream everyone is getting. Ah. That's grand! Just wanted to check it wasn't my internet/setup, mostly because I don't remember 31 being this blocky.

Well crap. Hioki didn't survive the double pendulum.
Also, is the stream really laggy for anyone else? I switched to my better computer and it seems to be worse.

I tried to catch the last 10 minutes of the navi and all I saw was that advert ^^^ and the painkiller one, back to back, constantly. The only actual content was the Yamada faceplant, which I already knew about... Did I miss anything interesting at the beginning? They reran the first half of Navi. They only added Yamada's Wednesday Downtown appearance which as already shown last week along with Akiyama. The only real addition was the pep talk for the Black Tigers and that last clip of the Shin Sedai all the way at the end. Cheers! Unfortunately missed the first Navi, c'est la vie and all that. At least this allowed me to test the stream in time for tomorrow's broadcast!

I'm a Brit, so at some point I'll need lunch.
Probably going to be salad stuff, maybe a tuna roll.
Not really sure that qualifies as munchies, but never mind.
On the subject of amazing Scottish food, a Tunnocks Caramel will probably be involved.

Claire 18 Northern Ireland Given that you went into Sasuke 31 with little/no knowledge of the obstacles, were there any that you found to be particularly intimidating or were particularly excited by when you first saw their designs and the tester runs?

Well, if Tomo doesn't clear, we know who the champion is, so I reckon he's going to make it to the final as well.

The Crazy Cliffhanger's been killing it so far, but I hope more than one person clears to give the final some kind of suspense.

Inui achieved his goal, Ryo and Yuuji out because of the Tackle/Warped Wall.
Nagano too.

aaahhh! As Bunpei in 30 so Shingo in 31.
For Takeda to FOLLOW him was just a really bizarre decision. Funny though, in a darkly comedic way.

I don't begrudge the snark, and in all actuality, the problem is more having food around the perishable electronic stuff than watching Sasuke itself.
Also, to avoid complete thread de-railment 'lunch' is salad-y stuff. Probably with a wrap. Because even though it nearly always rains in Northern Ireland, it's still summer!

Hmm, it's less a case of her liking it than coming in halfway through it and proceeding to make snarky comments for the next two hours. Given how.. exuberant the Japanese announcers are, never mind the competitor reactions, a stream of snark is a guarantee!
Besides, her work is particularly busy at this time of year.
Interestingly enough, when I showed both my parents what the final stage looked like through Nagano's run in 17 on YouTube, I discovered my dad had been occasionally watching the G4 dub on Challenge while washing the dishes at night because he recognised Nagano!
Apparently he 'looked like the kind of guy who would win something like this, he's always really chipper'

I'm not really a snack person, but because I'm in Britain, I've got to work lunch in at some point because the stream is from 11 to 3.
This is a bit of a problem because my mum works part-time, so it's either bring the laptop to lunch and persuade her to overlook the weird Japanese sports show (though I did show her Kanzenseiha clips after Ninja Warrior UK), or persuade her that taking my lunch up to the room in the house which is full of electronic equipment is a Good Idea.
Either way, lunch will be about halfway through the stream, and I'm not prepared to miss what could be anything from late stage one to early stage 3.

Based on Sasuke 30 all three remaining All-Stars probably have a decent chance, but personally I'm rooting for Shingo to do the best out of them all, not least because he hasn't been in the Third Stage since 23 and hasn't had an injury-free run since 17, which is practically 10 years ago!
That and he keeps appearing in all of Tada's training videos on YouTube, so it seems he's trying really hard to finally go into Stage 3, never mind 2.
