In little more than 29 hours, many of us will be enjoying Sasuke 21 as it airs in Japan. As we head into the final stretch, what are your final pre-21 thoughts about Sasuke 21 and the whole build-up to it? Expectations, statements about state of mind, hopes are all welcome.
I, for one, am extremely excited, and expect at least a decent, if not awesome tournament.

I, for one, am extremely excited, and expect at least a decent, if not awesome tournament. Well, I for one am really looking forward to my first on-line Sasuke experience. There's been a lot of hype this time around and I'm not so sure that we'll see many guys tear apart the course. Part of me feels like it's still too soon to expect many guys to get to stage 3. But there is the chance we could see 8-10 guys clear stage 1 and maybe 5-6 of them get to stage 3 and really take on those obstacles. But really, only a couple of competitors have a legitimate shot at clearing stage 3 and even that's a stretch. I hope Washimi, Takahashi and Okuyama are there, but I'm disappointed that Nagasaski brothers aren't going though. Shunsuke was one of the few guys IMO that had a shot at clearing stage 3. Anyways, I'll be on Livestation enjoying every moment. S-A-S-U-K-E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to know how much hype has just been the recently formed but incredibly rabid American and European fandoms. I didn't get to see 20 outside of Levi, Brett, Brian's runs before NF2, so I don't know how intense it was.
That being said, my fondest wish is that I am actually able to sleep tonight.
SASUKE 21 IS LESS THAN 24 HOURS AWAY!!!!

So very excited. I'm probably not going to sleep, which is good because I'm going to be up that early. I'm very hopefully people will do good, People's reactions seem nice, everyone is running during the day which could mean people clearing quickly, then again it could just be people failing. But still, I'm hopeful people got far and we see the obstacles far into stage 3 and hopefully the Final Stage.

Hey talledega there is a Sasuke 20 Torrent in friggin' awesome quality out on the net. I can link if for ya if you send me a PM.. MUST see it if you can.
As for Sasuke 21 I'm really looking forward to it.. As I was mentioning to scnoi.. this is the most prepared for a Sasuke anyone has been. First time A LOT of people are going to see it as opposed to early risers the morning of Sasuke 20. We know more competitors.. we know more about the course.. I did my best to not know all the results but even then I"m really excited to see it. Totally different knowing a couple numbers and people but SEEING it is totally different.
I'm also ecstatic that TBS chose a 4 hour timeslot again. That actually bodes REAL well for future Sasuke's if they get that timeslot 2 tournaments in a row!

I meant I didn't see the japanese broadcast prior to G4's showing of it. I did eventually see the full 20 broadcast. In a way that G4 must never know about....
WE'RE DOWN TO JUST 13 HOURS PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!

I'm also excited to watch what might be my first live Sasuke. If not it will be the first time I watch a recorded TBS one before G4 shows it.

Kinda makes you feel cool, doesn't it?

Yes it does. I'm staying up all night to watch it. I'll try not to drop around 3 because usually I get tired around then but if I get past that I just get a second wind and am right back up to the regular energy level I have (I'm weird like that).

I dont think so, i think that if you stay up past a certain limit, a sort of auxillary energy kicks in. Happens to me all the time. Stayed up 2 days in a row. It all just felt like one long day. It was an interesting experience.

If I'm to get up at 2:55, should I even bother going to sleep? I go to bed at around 12.

Well the point is I'm staying up to watch Sasuke 21. That would suck if the streaming doesn't work. I'm probably going to be on an excitemnet high anyways.

You probably should get some sleep. I usually go to sleep at 12 or 1 also, but if I try to stay up to 6 or 7, I'm dead tired.

I'll be fine, I know I can do this, most of the times I stay up all night I don't run into any trouble.

Best of luck with that. I'm too old to stay up all night, so I'll be going to sleep, thanks. Then up bright and early like a senior citizen.

Well I'll be fine, The only problem might be fighting off late night boredom while waiting, but I got plenty of games and I can do stuff like hang on my punching bag like the Log Grip or something. But then again the third obstacle isn't Guitar Hero

I dont think so, i think that if you stay up past a certain limit, a sort of auxillary energy kicks in. Happens to me all the time. Stayed up 2 days in a row. It all just felt like one long day. It was an interesting experience. It's because of your circadian rhythm (your mix of hormones that fluctuate throughout the day in response to light). You can pull all-nighters and not feel tired the next day as long as you don't fall asleep. Don't abuse it though or it will backfire and your sleep cycle will get severely messed up. Read Dr. Richard Ferber. He's an expert on pediatric sleep issues but everyone is governed by their circadian rhythms. Or don't.
