Season 1 aired from July 18, 2023 - September 25, 2023 on Telemundo. Season 2 has been announced.
50 celebrities living together on a mansion estate compete in challenges to grow the grand prize up to $350,000 while avoiding elimination.
Basically, like a kind of anti Squid Game The Challenge, with tons more games, a fraction of the money, and people who don't need it.
There is also a French version that aired first and has 2 seasons called Les Cinquante.

It ran over the Summer for exactly 50 episodes, which is a good length, and relatively short for these kinds of shows that air five days a week, especially with the size of the cast. They easily could've stretched it out, but I'm really glad they didn't.
I really liked the variety and the pacing. I don't think there will ever be another show that can compare in that regard.
Each episode features 3 different types of challenges with games that never repeat, so lots of variety. Some of these challenges are simple party games or minigames that I could see being reworked into a Squid Game knockoff. Others are a little more physically taxing and could work as a single obstacle section in some other show.
There are 6 different types of challenges in total that boil down to either winning money to raise the grand prize up to $350,000, or avoiding nomination for elimination. Failing a challenge also loses money from the grand prize.
Vas o no vas contains three different minigames, each played by a different player or pair, sometimes against the Fox, for money. Locura del Leon involves a group, or multiple, or everyone, playing a game for money. Fortuna is like Locura del Leon, but spans three different games, each for money. The Arena is where they compete as teams, in multiple rounds, with the winning players of each round being safe, remaining players reform into new teams each round, and the bottom players at the end are nominated for elimination. The Safety Competition is for the nominated players, where the winning player is safe from elimination. Joker is where one player wins a medal that can be used to save any player from elimination.
Elimination is done by voting on the nominated players, where the player with the least votes is eliminated. For the last week of the show before the finale, there was an elimination everyday from the Safety Competition, with no voting.
Great pacing, seeing players get eliminated every 3 or 4 days, with 1-3 players leaving each time.
I really like the premise and format of the show, but it's still a lot of people sitting around and talking, which I expected going in. Shows like Survivor and Squid Game The Challenge are mostly people talking. There's also a lot of confessionals during the challenges. The show quickly became mostly background noise for me because of the way it was presented. I'm sure it was great for the rest of the nearly one million people who tuned in everyday.
There was some drama going on throughout the season, but that's obviously going to happen when you have a bunch of people living together in a competitive environment.
Another thing I liked is that it doesn't feel like the producers are trying to make us care about anyone in a personal way like they do with other shows like Squid Game The Challenge or Survivor or similar reality competitions. You could just watch a bunch of people try to play a bunch of different games everyday and that's it.
Around half the players have backgrounds as actors and the rest are mostly reality show type people. The cast leans more toward the physically fit side. Each member of the cast generally has close to half a million to a million followers, some a little less and some way over a million.
There were a lot players from Exatlon USA. They were the only ones I recognized, so they were my picks. The winner ended up being Ana Maria Parra who was on Exatlon 5 and 7.5/All-Stars 1, and had to leave both seasons due to injury. Second place Fernando Lozada was on Exatlon 4. Fourth place Douglas Castillo and twin brother Esteban were on Exatlon 7. Rafael Nieves was on Exatlon 7. Fernanda De La Mora was on Exatlon 6. Beta Mejia was on Exatlon 6. Polo Monarrez was on Exatlon 6. Karely Lopez was on Exatlon 2 and 4. Sebastian Caicedo was on Exatlon 1. Macky Gonzalez is the women's champion of Exatlon Mexico 1, and was also on Mexico 5 and Mexico All-Stars 1.
