Unsurprisingly, 32 to 40 were quite easy due to not many Quad Steps fails

You forgot SASUKE 2 for #1. Ichiro Atarashii failed the Maruta Nobori. Other than that though, great work!

Also, big up to #31, only one first obstacle fail. Impressive.

On the other hand, what the heck is going with #74? It’s the only one after #52 with more than 4 fails, and it has more fails than even #1.

Yeah, I find it hilarious how from 8-10 every #74 failed the first obstacle and then the combo breaker was Shinji Kobayashi who almost reached the Final lol. 

Also a lot of people think that the relationship between numbers and skill is linear; it isn't. In most tournaments, it's been the strong competitors and athletes in the #80s-90s, and then most numbers before that are full of just randos, joke competitors, and maybe with the odd dying star here and there. I guess what I'm trying to say is that the difference in skill/expectation between, say #10 and #70 is basically zero, because we've regularly seen joke competitors, randos, and occasionally strong competitors fill both numbers, but the difference between #70 and #97-98 in most cases is paramount. Especially in the earlier tournaments (where most of #74's first obstacle fails happened), only #97-100 actually meant something, while even the highest numbers prior to that could've been filled with randos. In Sasuke 9, #94-96 all failed the Godantobi, lol.

I think with #52 and #74 it's just bad luck. With the number of joke/fodder competitors that were always going to fail the first obstacle, inevitably one number is going to see more fails than others.

Forgot about that, I also find quite ironic how he also cleared Stage One with #1 in Sasuke 4 but was cut. Thanks for your worst result by Start Position, it really helped a lot

Now I recently discovered thanks obviously to the book that the no.99 competitor from SASUKE 18, Daisuke Kojima, has failed the Rope Glider, so #98 is the only number with no first obstacle failures.
