The Air Surfer looks like it's significantly more Air and less Surfer than last time IIRC haha. The precision looks difficult as heck, as does the goddamn BRIDGE. The space between the elements is so far apart you know they're trying to pick people off early. I think this is probably one of the most difficult semi front-halves we've seen in a while, and there's only ONE *1* new obstacle

Spin Zone really seems to be one of the hardest balance obstacles. At least it looks that way. Not that many got to that point but it looks brutal. Ghost Town is super creative but looks totally tough in a different way. Needing to swing the ghosts and lache must be a weird movement and as Najee demonstrated easy to fall off on. I'm liking the new Power Tower as well.

Overall, this is my favorite episode all season. I didn't mind the stories shown as they mostly did good. There wasn't a fast-forwarded run that annoyed me and the big names and high placers were shown.

I'm getting a little tired of the Spider Trap though but that's really my biggest criticism.

Ratings are in by the way, 2.6 million. Even with City Finals beginning, the show had 0 growth this week. Last week's episode was the record lowest ANW's had...Now that record can be shared, for last week and this week respectively.

*Edit, I thought this was the best episode this season, which is a shame since the ratings don't reflect it. I don't know what the show has to do to pull the viewers back if City Finals isn't enough to get any bump. Hopefully Vegas sees an upturn.

2.6 million is lower than all but 1 episode of Spartan Ultimate Team Challenge. I know that's going back 5 years and just about everything is pretty much dropping in viewership. But still it blows my mind how much American Ninja Warrior has dropped. 

I think they went after multiple types of fans and made none of them happy.

James Wilson's Instagram revealed that he competed in the first episode of semifinals. Do you know where he failed?

Didn't know that, I thought he'd be shown this year. I'll speak to him today or tomorrow.
