Completely random thought, if all of the 6 All Stars got in to a cage match and had to fight until the other 5 were KO’d, who do you think would win? Let’s say they were all in the shape they were in the golden era.
My bet would be on Bunpei. I know he was older but Idk I feel like he would do well in a fight

In their prime, likely Yamada, the terminator nickname says it all.

Having appropriate skills for Ninja Warrior doesn’t necessarily translate to being good in a fight. The best way to win in a fight is simply.... to get better at fighting. An Olympic gymnast might be way more muscular and athletic than a skinny kid, but if that skinny kid has a black belt in Karate he’ll 100% win the fight.
Hence for that reason I’m going with Akiyama. As far as I know Akiyama is the only one who actually knows how to fight as he used to be a Greco-Roman Wrestler, so my bet would probably be on him.
Shingo would probably come last because he’d just find some way to mess it up or self-sabotage his chances by like punching himself in the face (stranger things have happened, like his Sasuke 22 fail). Shiratori and Takeda I also don’t think would do particularly well given their track record with injuries. One good blow to Takeda’s bad shoulder and it’s over. Yamada was obvs the biggest of the lot but I just feel like he’d find some excuse to rage quit and cry in keeping with his attitude during that era.
Nagano would probably do quite well as he was naturally gifted athletically, but Akiyama would still win because he has the technique, and in fighting technique is everything.

I like this thread.
I think we can all agree Shingo is probably not winning. When he was in his 20s to be fair he wasn't as much of a goofy guy. Yamada's the biggest but isn't very agile and probably has the worst cardio. Plus if it's a free for all, I can see him having the biggest target on his back of the six. That being said I can see him landing some good punches on Shingo, Takeda, and Bunpei. Bunpei I don't think would be that good. He'd have the longest reach but I don't see him having too much power or the animal in him to really fight. Takeda would probably be pretty good. He's pretty much above average in everything we've seen him try, even in brand new arenas like Monster Box. I can see him being an all rounder in terms of power, speed, and stamina. Nagano's compact, nimble, and just athletically gifted, so he'd probably be about the same as Takeda, but probably better. I still don't see him being that great though.
Akiyama especially when he was in his 20s just looked like somebody that would know how to fight tactfully and almost ruthlessly lol. I would put money on him even with his eye condition.
Rank Order I'd go Akiyama > Nagano > Takeda > Yamada > Shingo > Bunpei

Akiyama for one would want revenge on Yamada getting him disqualified from the Quick Muscle event on Kinniku Banzuke. Also, assuming this was some weird a** Sasuke Spin-off, if Yuuji was watching on the sidelines he’d also egg on the others to get Yamada knocked out first for claiming he wore illegal shoes on his Final Stage run in 24.

I didn’t know Akiyama had a wrestling background, interesting! He probably would win then. You know the funny thing is the reason that I had a feeling Bunpei would be good is because I have always had this dumb association with his career in government as a secret service agent😂 (I know he’s not, I just always picture him as one) The more I think about it and especially with the good points brought up about his constant injuries.. he probably wouldn’t do all that well. I think his kicks would hurt pretty bad tho
