About the sibling story, different articles will have different wordings, some only mention "siblings" while others "brother and sister", most include "same day", and all (should) include "individual event/sport". It's accurate in a few ways (double when you include "Japanese") - individual event/sport + siblings + both gold + same day individual event/sport + brother sister + both gold + same day individual event/sport + brother sister + both gold + same Olympics This is important because the 1984 Olympics had two pairs of brothers winning gold in different individual events, all in Freestyle Wrestling. I don't know which days their events took place. The recent Olympics have the 6 gold medal matches for Men's Freestyle take place over 3 days. Dave Schultz - 74 kg Mark Schultz - 82 kg Ed Banach - 90 kg Lou Banach - 100 kg The Banach brothers also have the distinction of being the first twins (individual events and individual events at same Olympics) (Carlberg twins won two shooting team golds in Stockholm 1912). The Schultz brothers had an Oscar and Golden Globe nominated movie made about their story called Foxcatcher. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wrestling_at_the_1984_Summer_Olympicsen.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_results_in_men%27s_freestyle_wrestlingen.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Olympic_medalists_in_freestyle_wrestlingGoing back further to Athens 1896 - the Paine brothers - John Paine won gold in 25m military pistol, while his brother Sumner won silver in that event. The next day Sumner Paine won gold in 30m free pistol, while John withdrew. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Olympic_medalist_familiesolympics.com/en/news/john-and-sumner-paine-usa-shootingWhen it comes to siblings winning individual gold in different Olympics - brother sister - Al Joyner - triple jump 1984; Jackie Joyner - heptathlon 1988 and 1992 sister sister - Venus Williams - singles 2000; Serena Williams - singles 2012; the sisters also won doubles 2000, 2008, 2012 brother brother - Robert Harting - discus throw 2012; Christoph Harting - discus throw 2016

Another first for Japan in skateboarding, and more wins for teens with another all teen podium. Yosozumi Sakura, 19, won gold in Women's Park Skateboarding. Hiraki Kokona, 12, won silver. Sky Brown, 13, won bronze. Hiraki is the youngest medal winner at these Olympics, the youngest individual silver medalist ever, and the youngest Japanese Olympic athlete ever. There have been younger silver medalists but they won in team events. Brown represents Great Britain, but was born in Japan. olympics.com/tokyo-2020/en/news/yosozumi-sakura-wins-women-s-park-skateboarding-gold-for-japan-teammate-hiraka-kwww.usatoday.com/story/sports/olympics/2021/07/28/youngest-olympic-medal-winners-momiji-nishiya-rayssa-leal-tokyo-games/5395355001/

San Marino is the smallest country to win a medal. The country sent 5 athletes, and won 3 medals, the most medals per capita with a population of 34,000. Alessandra Perilli won bronze in women's trap shooting, the country's first ever medal. Perilli and teammate Gian Marco Berti won silver in mixed trap team shooting. Myles Amine, born in Michigan, won bronze in men's 86kg freestyle wrestling. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Marino_at_the_2020_Summer_Olympics
