This crazy idea came to me in the middle of the night, so I apologize if it sounds strange...
Imagine you have 2 competitors forming a "team," and they can decide who tackles each obstacle. One competitor can do the Quad Steps and the Rolling Hill, while the other does the Wing Slider and the Fish Bone; or one competitor can do all of Stage 1 except for the Warped Wall, etc. It doesn't matter as long as both competitors take part in the competition at some point.
This means that a competitor has a higher chance of succeeding with a partner who covers for his/her weaknesses.
You can choose competitors from any era of the show, or abide by these "Rules," if you want more guidance:
* Current competitors only, in their current state of fitness. So Nagano at 48 years old, not Nagano in his prime.
* Sasuke 37 course, since it's the most current (can't do 38 without spoilers).

Here's a historical one: Nagano/Takeda around the time of Sasuke 11-12.
Stage 1: Nagano Stage 2: Takeda Stage 3: Nagano Stage 4: Takeda
I really just want to see how Takeda does in the Final Stage, and if anyone can take him there during this era of the show, it's Makoto Nagano.

I’d also have to go with Sato and Morimoto, except Sato takes on Stages 1 and 2 while Morimoto takes on the last two stages.
Sato’s realistically the best competitor for the speed stages, as he’s the most consistent and fastest competitor we’ve got right now, having had the fastest times for one of the two stages from Sasuke 33-37. But I wouldn’t put him forward for Stage 3 as we know that’s his weak point, and he defo has no chance at Stage 4. Morimoto we’ve seen is the best shot at clearing Stage 3 as he’s done so on the revamped stage twice, while he’s come by far the closest of any competitor to clearing the new Stage 4.
